I’d like to keep this friendly and just an inside view. I was born and raised in nampa and there are a small things I can understand why people would move away from nampa like my self in the next week. But I’ll give my thoughts on both living here vs somewhere else. Nampa has some good quality’s like everything seems pretty close and if you are like me and almost everyone else that I’ve know that has lived in nampa for sometime theres hardly ever a reason to go to any other town unless it’s to the airport or to go have some fun on a weekend but the vast majority of people that live here don’t have the money to go out much any way so it’s nice to have some close options for some fun as far as safety I’ve never really had many issues and I hung out around down town nampa a lot I’ve been stoped by the police to see if I was okay as a friendly check up but never had any real danger issues What I can say is traffic is terrible almost anywhere in this valley just to get to the next town expect a 35-45 min drive closest town Caldwell 12 miles can take 45 minutes in traffic and that’s the main reason I’m moving except I’m going the the new Plymouth area where it’s quite and has a vary nice feel to it’s community. overall I’d pick nampa over Caldwell boise kuna meridian star eagle Middleton and that’s probably because I’ve had a good experience here but as of now I just want to get away from all the traffic and enjoy a small town again
Really appreciated the thoughtful insights. I would agree with you that there are some great aspects to Nampa. And for many people it is a perfect fit. New Plymouth is a great spot. Ive spent a good amount of time out there. I hope moving out there goes very well. Reach out if you ever need anything!
Cool to see you grinding to get ahead, far too many young people these days have the defeatist attitude “we’ll never be able to afford a house, have a family and get ahead” Maybe its just a Blue metro area thing but still good to see the American dream lives 🇺🇸
I appreciate that! It’s very much possible. First time buyers are my favorite to work with because everyone has a path, it just requires a plan. Do you live in the Boise area?
@@movingtoboiseid CA, good living right now, house almost paid off, low crime, plenty of conservative neighbors and friends, states destructive policies haven’t ruined our community…yet. Would like to move to Northern Idaho in a few years when kids graduate college but wife loves city life, me and the kids love outdoors but kids probably need a bit more opportunity. Treasure Valley would be a good compromise, all depends where the kids end up after college
@@coastalhillbilly3419 Makes sense, and hey compromise often happens in marriage, but it seems like more when it comes to where we live and what home! Well if you guys ever have questions until that time comes. Reach out to me anytime.
Buy the smallest/cheapest home in the biggest neighborhood. Low prices ALWAYS go up. Like the stock market, buy low and watch it grow! My first house was 2 years before the crash. It was the smallest house in a custom neighborhood, crash occurred, lost my job, I was 9 months behind on my mortgage with no minimum payment options they wanted all 9 months paid up front. Here we are all these years later and by the grace of God we are having much more options in real estate that I couldn’t make happen if I tried.
The way Nampa is growing to the east and Meridian is growing to the west- it won't be long until you can't easily tell when one ends and another begins.

I’ve been stoped by the police to see if I was okay as a friendly check up but never had any real danger issues

You’re exactly right. It will blend together soon. Especially with the new highway being built. How long have you been in Boise?
