I moved to Nampa 18 months ago. Unfortunately, Ill probably have to move out of Nampa due to the high cost of housing. When I moved into my apartment in 2020, rent was $1,600. In 2021, it increased by $210. I just found out lease renewal for 2022 will be slightly over $2,000/month! Nampa is okay at best... a little dusty... a little smelly (due to the sugar factory). Its certainly not Newport Beach. The transplants from California are killing this city. Its crazy! $2,000 to live in Nampa? No thanks Its a matter of time before this area (and the state) turn blue. Mark my words.
Yes pricing is getting out of control. That is very unfortunate in your situation. With our experience, the majority of the people moving into Idaho are moving here for Idaho and they want to keep Idaho the way it is.
You're welcome. South of the lake is going to be farmland for the main part. The homes there are going to be either the original farm homes, which can be fairly old, and new new construction homes on small acreage.
2 amazing schools I went to are Idaho Arts Charter and New Horizons Dual-Language. No bullies (some in Idaho Arts), great teachers, great education. Also here’s an example: My brother went to West Middle School for 2 weeks, and got bullied, then went to Idaho Arts and felt comfortable and made friends.
New Horizons is a great school! My younger brother went there and it was amazing. I'm sorry to hear about your brother's troubles at West but I'm glad he made friends at Idaho Arts
I do like the video but you seem to have missed part of Nampa. Where is East Nampa? South of the freeway but east of downtown going all the way past Greenhurst rd.? Lots of schools and homes there. It's where I live.
@liltuck737 Unfortunately it's been on a downhill trend for awhile. I did just see a sign over there last week that Boot Barn was going to be opening in there
Your "con"about the commute made me laugh. In Hawaii we can only dream of a fifteen minute commute. My husband commutes an hour and 15 mins one way each day 🤦🏼♀️
You're good. You're real good. I subscribed after watching just this one video due to the excellent information on Nampa. Thank you! 👍👍👍
Thank You very much! I'm glad you were able to find it useful! More to come in the future!
@@Topidahorealestate Sure, you bet, and I look forward to those future videos. 👍👍👍
Thank you for watching
good to see you doing good in life man! proud of you!
Thank you

@@Topidahorealestate You're a very well-spoken guy. You should dabble in TV. Perhaps commercials ;) Very professional
Thank You very much! RUclips has definitely helped with that a lot!
Thanks for your informative videos. Any comments regarding the area of Nampa south of the lake? South-south Nampa?

I gave serious thought about moving to Nampa. Sure glad I didn't make the move.
What were your biggest deterrents?
I want to move to Oregon or Canada, I’m in Nampa right now.
@@qwerty.44 I'm in Oregon looking to move to Nampa!!

Thanks for the reply! I actually include that as part of sound Nampa. I grew up over off Greenhurst.
@@Topidahorealestate I must have missed that then. I grew up on Midland over by West middle school. Love this town of ours!
Absolutely!
"if there is even a smell". dude..... that dependent on the season. ffs.
Yup that is correct. Thanks for watching and engaging. It helps my videos go out to more people looking to relocate here.
The Karcher mall has been abandoned for years now

Ouch! I could not imagine having to commute for that long.
I live super close to the sugar factory and I don’t smell a thing.
I don't notice it at all either but some people do. I guess that what happens when you've live here your whole life lol
No mask mandate ever …. 🙌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 sold!
One of the best parts!
That’s a con for me.
