Caldwell, Idaho has much more to offer than you might think...if you want a smaller, more affordable city than Boise, and you like a little country...check out Caldwell!
You're a complete liar you just want people to buy homes from you Coldwell is full of crime traffic car break-ins and home break ins. Lady you should be ashamed of yourself
This is where my wife and I bought our first home Feb of 2020, It has been great so far. Caldwell has turned around a-lot in the last 5-10 years. Living close to the lake is fun too.
Thanks for you input! I really love the community activities Caldwell offers... my family and I drive from the Boise area to attend them because they're so fun. And there are some pretty unique opportunities for a smaller city with the College of Idaho there...the planetarium, college musicals and performances...I think people forget about that when they think of Caldwell.
Do you mean lake Lowell that has a toxic algae that if you swim in it you'll get sick google lake Lowell toxic algae bloom.
My father is in the process of moving to downtown Boise, ID. But I’m thinking by the time I have kids, it might be best to move him to Caldwell. This video was helpful! Thank you.
You're welcome! Downtown Boise is quite different than Caldwell - pros and cons to each, for sure, and usually, because they are about 45 mins apart, the choice would be determined by job location, cost of housing, and type of housing.
Sensationalism and its best. Caldwell is not in the country. The traffic can be worse than LA traffic. You'll never make it to Boise in her time frame. Ether bumper to bumper rush hour traffic or the never ending i84 construction will kill your commutes. Not to mention that were at the top of the hump for the realistate market. A lot of people are about to loose a lot of equity in their properties in the Treasure Valley. Medical treatment isn't that great in Caldwell either. The new Terry Reilly office seems to draw a lot of riff-raff. Don't bring a big city dog to live in Caldwell Fourth of July and New Year's will traumatize it.
I live in Caldwell, and we often drive to Boise and the surrounding cities, and the commute is not bad at all. Sure, at times there's traffic (especially in the later afternoon hours), but I can assure you it's nothing like "LA traffic." My husband and I were born and raised in L.A. and there's simply no comparison in terms of traffic, car congestion and in the quality of people.
Great have a nice day👩💝💐 you are great person🙏🧡
Thank you!
We were just there looking at houses over the weekend. Such an awesome little city! Can’t wait to escape the stupidity of communist Oregon to move there! 😁
Moving to Caldwell as a renter for a year but definitely looking to move to owning within a year or two once we get settled. Just figured it was easier to get a lay of the land and find our property once we're there instead of taking a 8 hour drive to look at properties from over in WA.
That can be a great way to learn about the area first. You will enjoy getting to know all the great things to do in the area.
I'm interested in anywhere besides CA, just need to be reasonably close to an airport for work. Caldwell appears to fit the bill. Any other cities like this in Idaho?
The Boise airport is the only major airport in Idaho and adding more direct flights all the time. So, if that is your main factor, then any city around Boise would work..Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Star, Nampa, Caldwell, Kuna...if you live in Northern Idaho, you'd have to trek to Spokane for a larger airport, and if you live in Southern Idaho, you're driving to Boise to fly, getting on a commuter plane in Idaho Falls and having to take that to Salt Lake or Boise, or making an even longer trek to fly out of Salt Lake....so, I think if you are focused on living in Idaho, anywhere in the greater Boise area is your best bet. Southern Idaho is less expensive than Boise, but it also is colder, doesn't have any major airports, and has less to offer overall than the Boise area. Northern Idaho is colder, also has less to offer than Boise, (smaller cities for sure), and wouldn't be that fun to regularly drive to Spokane from Northern Idaho in the winter to get to the airport.
My kids live in Eagle and recently we drove over to Caldwell- absolutely nothing was open. Very curious
Was it a Sunday?
Was it Monday?
Can you help me find my way there
Rodeo and Win. All I needed to know. I'm packing my bags :)
60K population seems crowded for just 22 sq. miles.
I do not see a video on Nampa??
I haven't made the video on Nampa yet, but it's coming, so keep watching. I got the 60K number from the latest census - I am not sure if they counted just Caldwell or the unincorporated areas too?
Thanks for the excellent info. Contemplating a move to the area soon, but for now as a renter. Have a terrific week!
You're welcome! Check out my other videos about the other areas of the Treasure Valley, and I am hoping to have all the main towns' videos done over the next few weeks. You have a great week too :).
Don't believe her horseshit
I bought my house in caldwell for 190,000, ....now it's worth 300k. I just hate how southern Californians are making it bad here in idaho.
Yes, it's great to have the equity, but not so great if you have to buy. Just be aware that there are many, many more factors into the costs of houses rising besides of Californians moving here. This is happening all over the United States and many other countries due to crazy inflation, shortages, low inventory, etc...
@@kingofpentacles3213 ...I literally moved from California to get away from liberals who ruined my home. Californians aren't making idaho better. They are rasing thr cost of living and the cost of homes

And, a little bit more ghetto :)
my experience there was different. Many places across the country would not say it was. Try the east coast
@@michaeledwards6890 Did you come as a visitor, or did you live here? I live in Caldwell, it is quite ghetto. Not as bad as many places I've been, but much worse than much or Idaho.
I live in caldwell. Not ghetto at all. It's charming and friendly
