Assets\PMXExporter\PMXExporter.cs(721,40): error CS1061: 'Mesh' does not contain a definition for 'Copy' and no accessible extension method 'Copy' accepting a first argument of type 'Mesh' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?) this appears when I the PMXExporter loads and I'm afraid that this can cause some kind of problem in the process
im getting this error along with a few others, despite using the exact same version of unity as in the video, and its making me unable to use the script
Problem, when i put the file into the model details area at around 1:06 , it says that there was some script error. I'm new to unity and have no idea how to fix it. i followed everything you did exactly.
For it to work right you need to use the 2019 version of unity, in the hub click Install Editor and then install 2019.4.40f1, then create a new 3D project and at the top you can pick the editor version. Hope this helps.
@@mkaymal2276 I followed that tutorial to fix it but the C# file still isn't there?? Insted it's called PMXExporter.cs and I can't drag it to the inspector window.
I was having the same issue. Not sure if you figured it out yet, if not, this method is dependent on an older version of UniVRM Problem solved! I found Denom Rs' vid explaining which version we should be using. (ruclips.net/video/JJS5XOK0GUo/видео.html) UniVRM DL: github.com/vrm-c/UniVRM/releases/download/v0.58.1/UniVRM-0.58.1_029d.unitypackage
I just redownloaded it and its still there. Depending on the version the icon may look different. In my 2019.4.2 version it just has a green # and to represent C#. Ultimately if you click the files in the imspector there should be something that says Assembly-CSharp.dll and thats the right file.
So I followed each of the instructions both from the blend shapes video to this one.. but the one thing I can't find is the C# or the PMX package. Is there something I can do to fix this? 😶
Your problem is that you are using the wrong version of univrm. Use univrm 0.58 with Unity 2019.4.31f1. This will allow you to see and use the file without errors. Later version will allow you to see the file but give you errors so you can't use it.
@@ArgamaWitch Like, where do I get the Unity file at, and i went to both links and downloaded it, but it just came up with folders and blank page files.
So when you click on the github link you will scroll down and see it say UniVRM-0.xx.x_xxx.unitypackage (X are numbers depending on the version) Download that, and download the unity package from the twitter post. From there you can go to Assets in the top menu of Unity, there should be a dropdown, select Import Package > Custom Package. That should let you search your computer for the new package. (do this for both of them) You will get a window popup that shows the package, you will import everything.

I keep getting mesh errors when I download the exporter. Is it because of compatibility issues with the newest version of Unity?
it is possible. I tend to use a very particular version of unity/UniVRM and I havent had issues with it yet.

I dont remember which I used then, I've updated many times since. Sorry.
Can you do a beanie or face mask tutorial?
you can make one with hair. draw your mask on a art program and make it into hair. look up hair accs videos and it should help!
@@leftbootyhair thank you! I managed to make them with blender and attach them on the model then exported it from fbx to vrm with unity
Is there any way to do this without unity?
Whenever I try to load my model in it just says 3d model can't load
and when it does load in its just invisible loll
There is a vrm converter but its glitchy af
