Been running Dirty Air on my 2022 for two years. I wouldn’t ride without it. Great video Steve, you are the reason why I put this on my bike. Won’t ride another bike without it.
@@sikbaggers I’m not real crazy about the 24 models. I like seeing the upgrades you are doing. It’s changing my mind a little on them. But not sure at this point. I’ll keep my 22 RGS for now. I never buy a first year model change.
I have this on my 24, IT DID RUB MY FENDER at any speed over 5 mph and the faster you go the worse it gets. I had to cut a slot in the flat spot and pull the fender away from the tire. Now it's good at any speed. It also hits the 4.5" Kromeworks pipe, I had to dent it in some more to get clearance, so there's a little more involved than this video shows, at least it was for my bike.
Thanks for the heads up on the pipe...I have TABS on here and it wasnt an issue..im curious how speed made the tire hit the fender? Not enough air in the system and its squatting when you take off? I dont understand how that happened
Have Dirty Air rear system on the rear is my 16 SGS. Its been a great system for the last 5+ years. The only issue I have had was a couple worn spots on the tubing after a time. It was a no Brainer repair. But one might keep some extra hose for those long rides. No everyone carries the proper size. These guys want happy customers and will answer questions.
I have the dirty Air fast up on my 2020 Street Glide. I have the switch on the handle bar that I ordered from dirty air. I love it will never ride with out
Glad to hear you're enjoying it! Unfortunately on the 24s the perch mount has changed so they need to redo those and no more switches on the switch housing on these new bikes either...gonna have to get creative
I have the Dirty Air on my ‘97 Ultra and did have it on my ‘19 Electra Glide Std (until I wrecked last month)…I can’t imagine not having Dirty Air on my new bike when I get it! Great vid Steve…keep ‘em comin’!
Great tube! I used the handlebar switches. Rear on the left front on the right an with dakota gauges I can adjust on the fly without taking my hands off the bars. Also put my center stand switch in the accessories panel. Took my time did my homework before I started.
I also installed the Fast up Dirty Air on my 24 SG. One thing I thought I would comment on, Dirty Air tech advised me to connect my two blue wires onto the red/yellow cable in the harness. They said it was different for 24 models. No longer connecting to the blue wires onto as before.
that makes sense since HD bottle necked the rear end to 2 amps and 33 watts total and im pulling from the brake lights....thanks for the heads up...dont want any codes! Ill make a short to address the issue...I cant edit an already uploaded video...which sucks.
If you could do a video on the digital gauge for the air ride that would be awesome. More so like the ones found on Fury Custom bikes. Love the videos. Keep up the great work!!
Thanks Mike! I have the dirty air gauge install right here on this video, I've started the video right where I start installing the gauge ruclips.net/video/I7lgfuWieB8/видео.htmlsi=tgz_p6jxszkk2pgy&t=1211
Had dirty air on my 09 FLTR. Loved it. Put Wilbur’s on my 2020 FLTR Special front and rear, wasn’t impressed as much as I was with the dirty air just on the rear of my 09. Ur 24 looks good man😎
Thank you! Just a heads up, if you do this...the 2 blue wires will be attached to the yellow/red wire in the harness and not the blue wire like we used to do. HD has bottle necked the rear end amps to 2...this will throw a code. I cant edit an uploaded video so im putting it in the comments and hope everyone sees.
yeah they look so much better....yes you loose the new lids that are 2 inches longer but man this looks so much better than the fender they put on the new 24....weird.
well I havent ever rode them...but that being said I get a ton of comments on them saying they are way better than the standard ones. The next set ill be getting them just to find out.
Bike is a real beauty in red HD factory manual for my 09 FXSTC lists critical fasteners torque checks.Followed book for some years never found any loose items. Think I will break torque on items listed return with one ugha bugah Have you ever run across this per HD factory manual? Shiny side up brother
no i cant say that I have...thats pretty strange.. one thing you have to remember that these shocks are supposed to be rode "lowered" The sweet spot for any air ride is having the frame horizontal with the ground...that being said...I do ride "lowered" and have never had that happen.
@@sikbaggers I’m sorry i forgot to say I wasn’t using dirty air it was another brand I was just curious if you have ran into this issue running dirty air I really didn’t drop it or raise it much. kinda found where I like it for city riding but why on the highway I liked it more at the factory hight
I have not but yes your belt will loosen and tighten as you air it up and down...even with air ride, optimal performance of the bike and the shocks you will need to put the bikes frame parallel with the road. Too much or too little air will greatly reduce the performance of the shock. More importantly, your belt will be too tight if you are riding with too much air.
Hi Steve, have you ever tried their “Premium Aluminum” shocks? They are a complete game changer and a much better ride than the steel bodied shocks. You’ll thank me later! 🍻🍻
I have not...I was going to do it on this bike and opted to run the steel ones as thats all i have rode and wasnt sure there was a ton of difference..Ill try it on the next set for sure...thanks man!
this tri glide kit should work www.dirtyworks-kc.com/dirty-air-rear-tri-glide-air-system-trike.html or give them a call...the guys at dirty are awesome and very knowledgeable
Its certainly a neat idea...I just hope the ecm and/or tuner can auto adjust to the back pressure change on the fly...I would be interested in running a set on a dyno...the only thing that would deter me from running these, if they worked, would be the price...3170.00 is a bit steep for exhaust.
Wilbers are definitely a solid option with their self-adjusting feature, no doubt about that. However, the Dirty Air air ride system offers a different level of customization and control. It allows you to fine-tune your ride height and adjust for different loads or riding conditions, which can make a big difference in comfort and performance. It's all about what suits your riding style and needs best. Both have their strengths, just depends on what you're looking for!

Thank you Ryan! I knew after riding this bike one time I was doing air ride...that suspension sucks and its "new and improved" LOL what a joke
@@sikbaggers agreed, my 2018 Ultra limited was better, I’m assuming they have set to the stiffest setting…😩

Great video I would like to see somebody do it on a Tri glide and on my 03 Ultra it came with air shocks and I loved them
Thanks! I'd love to get a Tri Glide in here to do that!
Great video Steve! Can you tell me what bags/fender do you have and will the 2024 lids fit those bags?
they are the 2023 and older bags, lids, hardware and dominator fender from advanblack. You cant use the old bags with the new lids unfortunately
Thx Steve!
Ohhhh hell ya I’m getin that for sure and the centre stand 🤟🏻😎👍🏻
I had no doubt after riding this bike one time I was getting air ride lol those shocks on that bike are a joke..like usual.

installing is slightly more...but more than clicking a switch and adjusting on there fly going down the road? Nothing more easy that that
glad you showed how to use a torque wrench, but that system turns a motorcycle into a dump truck .
if it rides like a dump truck you arent setting it right..ive been running air ride for 6 years on 3 bikes we have here and love it.
