Great content. I have had my s23 ultra for almost 17 months. With its 6.1ui, it's still a beast. And of course, with the Ai, it got theres no reason to upgrade.
I got this phone on a whim and it is without a doubt the best phone ive ever purchased. They knocked it put the park. I will really have think hard about trading this in for the s24. Well done samsung youve got a fan here
Excellent review. I feel like my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is literally the perfect phone. I've never owned a smartphone even close to as good as this phone. It blows the competition out of the water. Ill be keeping this phone for all 4 years of its OS updates so I wont have any need to upgrade until 2027 when the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra is released!
I was a Die Hard Apple user before I switched to the S23 Ultra and I can’t bring myself to go back to Apple, I’ve switched before and always went back to an iPhone. Apple users don’t realise how good it is. The Battery life is amazing, although I’m noticing a decrease since OneUI6 unfortunately.
I often wonder did they make it TOO good ? There's phones only just released - iPhone 15 Pro max & Google Pixel 8 Pro - that still cannot better it all round. How much better can the Ultra get in terms of user experience in the S24 iteration ? They can bump the specs, give it a new chip etc but you wonder if there's going to be any noticeable difference. The S23 Ultra is a mistake by Samsung - they made it too damn good!
I definitely see what you mean. I think the game now is just small incremental improvements every year. So year to year we won't notice much change, but if we look back over 5 yrs, the changes add up to a lot.

The marketing will pitch around the AI capabilities for the S24 Ultra but the previous iteration has the power and capabilities to handle any of that and these will mostly be software features with some processing offloaded to cloud anyway. Remains to be seen whether Samsung restrict some new features to exclusively work with the S24 Ultra - like Google are doing with the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro. Great review !
I've been eyeballing this phone all year. It's fricking 1450€ here in Finland (tax included). Today I saw a black feiday deal (they do black friday for two weeks here, makes sense) and it was 900€. I knew this is the lowest price I will ever see for an Ultra here, it was too tempting so I ordered one. Not that my Onpelus 8T has anything major wrong with it. But after 3 years the battery is not as pristine as it used to be, and for some reason my gallery lags like crazy. Because of this I'm still on the edge if I should cancel the order and just stay with 8T for at least one more year. But I'm just too tempted with this price, it's an amazing phone! 😬
@@karanbirsingh535 Sweet, you will like it for sure coming from 8T! I got mine today. It's leagues ahead, happy I didn't cancel the order. One thing that really surprised me even after watching many reviews was the speakers. They are almost good laptop level, 8T sounds ok, but garbage in comparison to this. The cameras, display, s-pen, tons of features, great battery life, dex.. There is a lot to enjoy. :)

All social media apps compress any image you upload. Especially video. If it looks good on your phone screen when you take the pic, it will look fine on social media. But that's really up to the social media app and how much they wanna compress your files.
News said S24 will coming in mid January 2024. The cheapest S23 Ultra I could find is about US$1050 brand new. I wanna switch my broken Z Flip3 (still usable, but have annoying error) to Ultra, but S24 series if news is true is just 2 months away, is the price worth it or just wait till S24U coming out?
Yes. That's due to the 10x optical zoom lens. It has a prism inside that does rattle around but you gotta shake your phone pretty hard next to your ear to hear it

Best phone overall !!!! but still issues 50mp shutter lag so slow all the so called fixes are absolutely rubbish bad information from youtubers camera assistant does nothing but reduce quality to go faster
23 Ultra destroys Xiaomi 14 pro in heavy gaming on Velian speaks Tech. 8Gen3 just gets too hot and drops frames to the point it dies. Looks like 8Gen2 may be the sweet spot.

It's an amazing phone! You definitely won't regret getting the s23 ultra. Better everything, newest one UI and Android 14.

$1050 is not a bad price but I'd hold off until black Friday/cyber Monday deals get announced. There should be better sales than 1050$.

Yes it is slow. It's still a phone, and being able to capture 50mp at all is an achievement
