You are one of the most inspirational people I know. I feel like you are my friend in "real life". Recently retired and am having to find a new self and your videos and weaving have helped me so much. I play my flute at church and I find this to be less stressful than playing in an organization. I always tell my husband that if I make a mistake, the people in the congregation either would not know, or be very forgiving. I love what you have done for all of us out here in the digital world. I remember being the sole breadwinner for my family for many years, and being quite terrified at times that I might lose my job. I ended up in positions that were not the best for me but paid the bills. They were positions that others envied, but as you say, it's not what it seems.
I believe my journey has brought me to this wonderful place with 4 amazing adult children whom I'm very proud of, and an absolutely terrific husband.
Thank you for the words of encouragement. I would echo that we each have to make our way, as we can. And be kind to one another and ourselves.

As a student, customer, and community member, I completely understand and support you as you make a decision about (not) doing magazine projects.
The funny thing is just last week, I canceled both of my weaving magazine subscriptions. They are lovely publicatons. However, I have had to reduce my weaving budget. The value I get from magazines does not hold a candle to what I get from your Online Weaving School, online patterns, and Open Heart Newsletter!
I'm sorry you had to cancel but I'm flattered that you decided to stay with me! Everyone is getting a bit more realistic about spending these days and I think it's a good thing to focus on the things that really bring value to your life and let go of others 🥰

Is there a reason why weavers aren´t supported by companies like knitting influencers or so? Needles are cheaper than looms, I know, but you and lots of other teachers do so much for weaving. Why is there no support? This is very sad. - I love your authenticity and would have loved to have you as our wedding singer in 2005. Hugs, Bianca :)
I don't know Bianca, but I have reached out to yarn suppliers, weaving suppliers and loom companies for potential sponsorships or collaborations without success. To be honest, most of them will just ignore me, so I don't tend to bother reaching out anymore. I did work with Ashford on one mutually beneficial project though, that was great.
