Apparently, the Inquiry was originally going to appoint a Bully XL to attack the witnesses, but the Chair appointed Jason Beer as he wanted someone more savage.
It beggars belief that not one of these bastards gave a single thought to the fact that there was a human being facing the catastrophe of losing EVERYTHING behind all the back and forth of emails whilst they conspired and covered up.Unfortunately incompetence may not be criminal, but there is clear evidencev of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice
The toxic combination of the lie "Nobody else is having system trouble. It's just YOU." Together with ass-covering guys like this gave the accused no chance whatsoever. Post Office and Fujitsu management really need to hammer bringing down on them. Also, the money that the Post Mistresses and Post Masters paid out to cover the 'missing' funds. Where did that go? How did the Post Office accountants square that?
The key question which this fool didn't even understand was, 'did you check whether there was actually any money missing'. All they did was to check the data (from Horizon) for the branch, they never even asked the question as to how they could show that the PO as an organisation had suffered a material loss.
The developed tunnel vision where the only things that they could see are the ones that give them a win. To reduce this happening the legal system requires discovery, the handing over of all relevant documents. What the PO did was to ignore the large number of problem records that identified major faults in Horizon.

Everybody knows that a lawyer will dictate a letter/ email and that their secretary or somebody will type it up and send it to the resiprocant.
Sure the Law Society might be a problem for him, but you should know why. You see the Law Society has to protect its reputation, just like the Post Office felt it had to. He's not the only bent lawyer.

I saw all Jamail Singh's evidence on the youtube enquiry channel. It was a bumbling mess. It was incredible to me that he held his rank at the Post Office.

I used to work for a nationalised company. (Electricity board) When it was privatised in 2000, after about 6 months, I took company restructuring early redundancy by choice. The service to the customers dropped significantly and infrastructure was neglected. Moral among workers dropped. A result of answering to shareholders and greed.

They are shit private companies inheriting all the worst aspects of the previous organisations (inept, self interested time servers) and none of their strengths.

The denials and deflection I can understand. He's been found out and is desperately trying to cover his backside. But the gloating about how this was good for his professional development is utterly crass and inappropriate.

In private practise it was always considered that the less able legal minds tended to go to local authority and board type work. I recall this from being a clerk fifty odd years ago.

I have been watching these videos from the inquiry and my opinion is, well when I say my opinion I mean it is perhaps a view that was formed , perhaps by others and wouldn't necessarily be my own view as it were, that is to say it would seem to some extent that according to what my thoughts would be regarding the inquiry in general and maybe in regard to particular aspects of it so to speak, that it is perhaps something along those lines ..but of course I started that sentence so long ago it is difficult at this stage to be particularly clear about what my view is or was at the time...
This witness should try speaking in English. I for one cannot understand any of his `answers` with his use of words, constantly muddying the waters and going off on tangents, Godspeed Jason Beer.
A shifty lying toad, barely looked up at all throughout his questioning. In fact, I do not think we saw his eyes, looking towards Jason Beer KC more than once throughout the whole episode. The whole thing is shameful and the final enquiry document is going to be damning to POL and many others.
So in all these prosecutions the system was as follows…..notification of shortfalls according to the horizon data….and audit of the post office itself, and then the investigators attend and demand the money…all according to the terminal data, the Horizon data. The process didn’t include a forensic examination of the terminal or the data, in detail. Because of this Singh, they just stood on the position that the computer system was always correct. Every single case is utterly unsound, and every court should have pushed hard to get proof the terminals, keypads, data was indeed correct. This is an astonishing situation. Arguably the most trusted organisation in Britain, and it is rotten to the core.
What business would employ this apology for a criminal lawyer. Blame is with the senior team who are ignorant, incompetent and complicit in this miscarriage of justice. He is a very dangerous clown.

I have been watching these videos from the inquiry and my opinion is, well when I say my opinion I mean it is perhaps a view that was formed , perhaps by others and wouldn't necessarily be my own view as it were, that is to say it would seem to some extent that according to what my thoughts would be regarding the inquiry in general and maybe in regard to particular aspects of it so to speak, that it is perhaps something along those lines ..but of course I started that sentence so long ago it is difficult at this stage to be particularly clear about what my view is or was at the time...

A shifty lying toad, barely looked up at all throughout his questioning. In fact, I do not think we saw his eyes, looking towards Jason Beer KC more than once throughout the whole episode.
The whole thing is shameful and the final enquiry document is going to be damning to POL and many others.
So in all these prosecutions the system was as follows…..notification of shortfalls according to the horizon data….and audit of the post office itself, and then the investigators attend and demand the money…all according to the terminal data, the Horizon data. The process didn’t include a forensic examination of the terminal or the data, in detail. Because of this Singh, they just stood on the position that the computer system was always correct. Every single case is utterly unsound, and every court should have pushed hard to get proof the terminals, keypads, data was indeed correct. This is an astonishing situation. Arguably the most trusted organisation in Britain, and it is rotten to the core.
What business would employ this apology for a criminal lawyer. Blame is with the senior team who are ignorant, incompetent and complicit in this miscarriage of justice. He is a very dangerous clown.
