I had worst experience with Oman at Muscat Airport, when I was Travelling to Germany Varun Bhai. Worst experience cant tell ! I will highly recommend if you are travelling any where, dont opt for Oman as transit port !
Immigration is always pain but for Indians it used to be hell. I remember my first foreign trip, hongkong immigration took me to some room and questioned me for 2hrs. They could not understand a lick of English though I had all the bookings and details in hard copy. My first US trip was also bad experience, immigration was rude. My second trip to US was during Trump years and immigration officer was rude at the beginning. So when he asked purpose of visit for 5th time, I said I am there to see Nazis as my grandpa had fought against them in WW2. This was couple of days after that Virginia rally by Nazis. He stared at me for a good long minute and stamped my passport. It is not good to loose patience with immigration but life has improved for travelling Indians in the past 10-15years
Australians are treared the same by US Immigration and we have a good relationship. The only Nazis or racists in US history were the Democrats who championed slavery while Republicans freed their slaves. It's history
You faced a lot of hurdles and struggles in the beginning, that at a point you were really upset about the current situation... but God has something else in his mind, that you got to meet some really kind people, who stepped forward to help you. You are really precious, and you are loved by a lot of souls. And the love and positivity of all those souls who really care for you will always be there, to protect you, to comfort you. I hope you are recovering quickly. Have lot of rest, and get well soon.✨
Just want to give a bit of a clarification for your viewers who might be planning to take the same trip by Hatta Wajaja border. The PCR validity is ONLY 48 HOURS for most travellers. (14 days validity is for GCC citizens only!) Secondly, cancellation of an EXIT stamp is not an option in any country. In Oman, the visa status is changed to "Cancelled" when traveller exits Oman. After that, there is no way you can enter without a new visa, be it even for 1 hour also. And since i travelled just 3 days ago, I had confirmed with Royal Oman Police, there is NO FREE VISA issued at land borders for Indians(irrespective of USA visa in passport), that facility is only available in airports. So the information provided to you by that officer is correct, You are required to pay 5 riyals for re-entry. I'm sorry you had an unpleasant experience. A bit of a research would have helped you avoid this confusion. Stay Safe :)

I agree - it’s completely the traveller’s fault here. He screwed everything not giving a mere 5 rl. The traveler is kind of stubborn here. So he should face the consequences.
@@mukulkarmakarwb153 for a budget traveller, 5riyal can b a lot… specially whn u r a travel blogger where most of ur trip is go with the flow… what has been explained above, could hv been explained by the officer instead of harassing the traveller nd being rude.

For those who are complaining that every time he has issue on a trip..to them please try to know he is trying to cover the trip by showcasing the different scenarios as a common man who does budget travelling..5 rial is not a big bucks for him but he is trying to show us what will be the situation if this happens..hats off Varun Bhai..
I know 5 rials may not be a huge amount of money, but this is supposed to be a travelling channel, not something where someone complains all the time. I am noticing for the last few weeks, he has been complaining about almost everything. This has become very irritating for people to see everytime we come to see his vlogs. And some of these looked very silly tbh. I would request Varun bhai to please start showing the beautiful locations you travel and to reduce these types of complaining wale videos. If you're complaining, then make sure you fight it out and show the resolution as well, yeh nahi ki kisi officer ne kuch keh diya toh dusre border chale gaye. That was not the solution. You should have fought him. Tab usko akkal aati aur baaki logo ko pareshaan na karega aise in the future.
Not, He is not helping the local economy by using local taxis, he expects some dude who watched his video to drive him across the border and show him the different places in the area. Not a genuine tourist
Yeah, and look what not paying 5 Rials got him. He had to go to so many hassles, going from one border post to another, and these border posts are not near to each other by the way.

* Research the covid entry travel requirements well, as every country is different and can be complicated. * Once a visit visa is cancelled, another one is needed and in this case the visa fee was OMR 5 ( less than Rs1000), which is mentioned on their website. It's NOT a bribe. * This is a re-entry into a country, which is a big deal, luckily one can get a visa at the border here. Can't Imagine if it was not possible. * All the best for future travels
File a complaint with the relevant authorities through proper channel. Also, tag the Omani government on Twitter. Discretion is an exception based upon threat perception and profiling. Can't be justified to support fragile egos. Such harassment shouldn't go unnoticed.

stop hitchhiking pay for rides and be a tourist, so you can contribute to their economy which Indians also expect from tourists No more free rides, Pay and travel
As a US resident, my tips to visit different destinations city in USA are By AIR, LAND or WATER. so fly, drive or by a Boat/ship to visit your place of interest. So please do not hitchhike, travel by renting a car or share it with another tourist, By tour Bus, book in advance and also for ship or Boat, book early. It helps the us economy and tourism. YOu cannot wait for someone to offer rides. Plan your trip ahead. Stay at hostels which are cheaper for a budget traveller like you. The whole video should help a new tourist to get around a city. you can only do it if you can show how you did it. Dont post videos of hitchhikes or borrowed rides which is not what a tourist does. Then you can call yourself a Guide who can help people decide how to travel. Help US economy by spending $$$ on services and Goods. help the local economy, shop little stores, food at local restaurants etc. you get the idea how to help the US economy. So follow it and then preach it otherwise your videos mean nothing
Im forwarding this video to my uncle who works in a indian school of sohar oman as secratary. He knows many people from indian embassy oman. Lets teach a lesson to that police officer

@@chetans8460 Brother being Indian myself but I am third generation born outside of india. Nevertheless we always felt we were Indians and wh3n we came across Indian travellers, we always wanted to be friends. But looking at recent news media in india and how Muslims are being treated in india, we tend to get pissed off. I’ve personally witnessed quite a few Indians being harassed at borders, even in African countries. But I think this has got a lot to do with how you are treating your own fellow Indians who happen to be Muslim.
@Shruti Tiwari When a Hindu temple was ransacked by the self calling “Muslims” in Pakistan, the whole country was in turmoil. Even the Prime Minister Imran Khan spoke out against it and ordered the temple to be repaired by the gov. Ministry and the so called muslim culprits be made to pay for the costs before being marched into prison where they belonge. On the other hand, when mosques and churches are destroyed by Hindu vigilantes, the Indian government keeps mum and the prime minister stays in his cakoon quietly showing his approval. The vigilantes are garlanded and regarded as heroes by leading BJP politicians. That is the difference between a civilised god fearing people and a country which boasts to be the World’s biggest democracy, but actually it’s not so in india. In india it’s not d3mocracy, in india it’s “The demons gone Crazy”.

I used to have a friend in Dubai and she told me that the border crossing between the UAE and Oman has always been problematic for foreigners, as it is notorious for drug smuggling. She always advised against using it. If you wanna travel between the two countries it's best to do it through a tour company, that will handle all the formalities for you.

Varun, why you fought for 5 riyals? I had to cough up 120USD at Ho Chi Minh city Airport at the immigration department for a frivolous reasons ...because of one letter difference in the application and the PP.
Mr. Varun please do write about your experience to the concerned authorities of Oman a letter explaining them the situation. No country caters to corruption. They will face the consequences. Oman focuses a lot on tourism. Your one experience will definitely change it for others.
Hi Varun, I understand the rules you said were listed clearly on reliable websites. You need to understand that this never ending pandemic has been relentles hence rules are fluid now, not only in middle east but across the globe. An additional PCR test before crossing immigration could have saved a lot of trouble to yourself and two of your friends; and also you could have avoided the embarrassment too. Being a budget Traveller is not an excuse you could always use to get away with. Moreover, it was your neccesity to again cross the border, back to Oman. 5 Omani is close to INR 990. I am surprised you chose to stick to the book, and hesitated to pay 990/- and chose booking a hotel for 50 Omani, which led to the embarrassment and the trouble for two of your friends. The fact that you booked a hotel for 50 Omani while being hesitant to pay 5 Omani visa fees irked the Immigration officer.
Why to pay he has us visa,Canada visa and all of the above behavior is the thing why varun stick to not about 5 rial so understand the people are good but the officer is not
Just an advice bro. When u can pay 50 riyal for hotel then why hassle for 5 riyal as entry fee... small things have to let go if rise is to be achieved... hope u understand
You must lodge a complaint in tourism department and in foreign ministry about this. Because this must be sorted out so next time people like Sekri will not taken Indians for granted.
Sorry, you had to go through this ordeal. Though I could not understand you fully I could grasp a bit of it. He was certainly expecting the entry fee though legally not required per your visa situation. All countries are going through constant changes in policies due to pandemic and stressful for many. As someone pointed out in the comment section, it may be best to pick the right battles. Paying 2000 Rs. while a bit of a hit on one's integrity (note that it is not a bribe), it is worth the ROI to avoid stress you went through. Lessons we all learn from your videos are immense.
Absolutely right sir

Can't Imagine if it was not possible.

stop hitchhiking pay for rides and be a tourist, so you can contribute to their economy which Indians also expect from tourists
No more free rides, Pay and travel

Hi Varun,
I understand the rules you said were listed clearly on reliable websites.

Sorry, you had to go through this ordeal. Though I could not understand you fully I could grasp a bit of it. As someone pointed out in the comment section, it may be best to pick the right battles. "Just want to give a bit of a clarification for your viewers who might be planning to take the same trip by Hatta Wajaja border. The PCR validity is ONLY 48 HOURS for most travellers. (14 days validity is for GCC citizens only!)
Secondly, cancellation of an EXIT stamp is not an option in any country.
