I am 60 and access enough content creators who target the things I am interested in. For me its not so much about having more disposable income although that is the case - I still wont spend $300 on face cream - its more about being sick of fashion short term trends , impact on the planet and basically being more interested in style rather than short lived consumeristic fashion. I enjoy creating a non work focussed wardrobe have a sneaker collection which I love and feel more confident about who I am not and who I am. Learning that confidence is not a full proof bubble around oneself rather it is relying on what we do know about ourselves understanding that we are more likely to remember bad rather than good memories and learning how to deal with that. Having strategies to retrain our brains helps to shift the balance and have a realistic optimism about who we are and how we engage in the world, Remaking oneself is something I have done more than once and I continue to do it in semi retirement and this is so helpful in building confidence.
I'm grateful for your childless by choice message. In the past, I've gotten comments that my love and ability to love is less than a person who has children.
Thank goodness for women like you in our lives! Positivity, kindness, realism and openness. Thank you so much. I’m sorry that you all EVER get negativity on your platforms, it seems unbelievable to me. However, we can choose to rise high above that and keep rising. I’m truly inspired this morning and really importantly to me, as a child free woman, thank you for representing Dominique.
Wow i’m in my midtwenties in the states and I already relate so much to dominique,I’m at a crossroads in my career where I feel like I could keep coasting in something i genuinely don’t enjoy at all for the sake of being comfortable and having other people in my life continue to feel proud of me. Or i could change now. i’m definitely fearful of the perception change, but having dominique put these things in such simple terms was empowering. Thank you for having her on! It gave me a lot to chew on
Hi girls, very interesting episode. More please. The complainers and those who undermine cause so much damage. Life is too short. Make use of it. Thank you.
Wow! What a lovely lady!👌 I just want to say that I think her biggest asset is her brilliant brain and nr. 2 is her legs! Thank Ypu for having her on 🥰
Children? No, thank you. I'm happy and childfree, not childless. I don't envy anyone with children. I tried the lifestyle when I was a nanny - I loved the children (but didn't want them forever), but hated the lifestyle. I don't need children (or a partner) to feel like a complete woman, I'm not needy, I'm independent and free. I resonate with what Dominique said about toxic people, those that have harmed me the most out of pure malice, jealousy and hate (not to mention their insecurity) have been those working in the same field as me, which was the charity field (!) Those who've helped me the most have been strangers and off-field, unexpected sources.
Girl, Loved this episode. Your videos are amazing, but without the right editing, they are not getting the dream engagements. I can work full-time for your channel, editing videos and designing eye-catching thumbnails. Is this what you're looking for?
Hopefully one day soon there won't be any need to mention anybody's skin colour, even though Dominique brought this up herself. I enjoyed her interview, there was a lot of therapy speak! We can also become dependent on therapy. I feel ambivalent about mentioning charity work, as the saying goes, "No charitable deed shall go unmentioned", it was also unclear whether Dominique donated to charity or sold her decluttered clothes, she said she donated them all, then a second later that she sold them all, so which is true? Maybe it would have been more elegant not to mention this at all rather than confuse viewers as to whether she sold the stuff (and kept the proceeds) or donated it to charity.

I agree with you, colour shouldn't need to be mentioned. Unfortunately, we're not there yet.
