It's like you're reading my mind! I gotta do this too. Thanks for telling me about your channel. (I was in your shop around Dec 7th and got some awesome lip balm, soap and a kickass Jeep talk!)
Im currently doing the procar sportsman seats in my 97 TJ. Fabbing up the brackets easy peezy. However....i needed 3.6274 ugga duggas to mount them. Yours look great and thx for doing a vid on it.
Famous last words, "This project should take 15 minutes".....2 hours later "I'm almost done" ....2 days later "FINISHED". Just bought a '06 tj 4.0 L with only 27000 miles on the clock???!!! What ! Not a lie! The tj was stored in a hanger and used only when the owner flew in from out of state. Looking at a lot of vids to get some ideas on mods I would maybe make.
so, i got the same seats, and i bolted em down. driver side feels like 3 inches higher than the OEM. did you also notice this? i did pretty much the same bolt up as your vid here. little modifications.
The seat pad is thicker on the new seat. I did notice it was a little higher, but I still had plenty of room and I could still reach the peddles. I got used to the new position within 2 weeks of daily driving. You could search for a replacement bracket as mentioned in the video but at that time I had no luck finding one. Thanks for checking out the vid and hope the seat mod serves you well.
Great video man. Where did you end up mounting the seatbelt receptacle that was originally mounted on the OEM seats? Did the new seats have a metal side plates to mount them? Or are did you custom mount it to the tub? Thanks man! Looking to upgrade seats on my 97TJ and looking for inspirations and options :)
I actually installed 4 point harnesses instead of the factory belts. I wheeled the Jeep pretty hard and wanted to be locked into the seat. Harness mount points were attached to the harness bar I installed behind the seats. I think I did a vid on it. It’s in the my video list somewhere close to this vid! Thanks for watching and I am glad it inspired you! 🤘😁
Ah, the good ‘ol inflation factor😞 Still a good comfortable seat at a decent price though. 👍🏻 Drove it daily for a while with these seats and they repel mud, easy to clean and are comfortable. They do hold water for a while if they get wet though. Only downside.
I just got some free 2015+ ford mustang seats and am now confident that I can get them installed! thanks for the great video!
You’re welcome. Glad the video helped you! 🤘

I'm in the exact same situation with my 03 TJ... I wanted the Corbeau Baja XRS.. Nice Rock Sliders brother, I love mine installed.
I wanted corbeau as well. But my wallet said no!
Thanks for watching and the support!

Awesome find on your Jeep!
And yeah, I think ALL Jeep projects start with “this’ll be a quick little mod” 🤣

Beautiful. Might have been a pain in as..... But, turned out beautiful.
Thanks! It was a pain, but, I do kinda like the process. Engineering to make it work is part of the Jeep culture. 🤘
Thanks for watching!
Did you install these seats in a TJ?
Yes it’s a TJ.
