We wanted to clarify on the climbing ability of the scooter. Thanks for Paul from Electric Scooter Guide for reaching out to us to say that the ZT3 Pro can climb 25% grade which is technically 14 degrees. The hill we tried climbing is 19 degrees which exceeds the claimed climbing ability of the Segway ZT3 Pro. A 19 degree slope is equal to a 33% grade.
That's it! The scooter is advertised with 25%/14° and may also climb up a 15° hill with a driver of your weight, but 19°/34% is far above its climbing specs and thus capabilities. The single motor scooter VMAX VX2 Extreme (BTW also tested by Paul) could be able to manage this slope slowly but not this one here. 😉
Manufacturers always tend to advertise % slope rather than degrees as % shows the larger number which is better for marketing but can be a little misleading since a 100% slope is 45°
I'd go with the HILEY Tiger T8 Pro... It's $799, has dual motors, dual brakes, dual suspension, and low-maintenance solid tires with split-rim (easy to replace), and can go 31 mph, and it's lighter. It's basically the original of the rebranded Splach Twin (which has good reviews)
Hiley T8 has much smaller tires which makes for a less safe and less comfy ride, and also has significantly LESS range than this scooter. This seems like a better option for the money to me. You can go a little faster, but after about 20 miles you'll be on your last legs and this segway will still be going strong.

After watching this review of the ZT Pro I’m very, very, happy with my NINEBOT MAXG2 scooter. Im still open minded, I’ll ride my friends very soon and I’ll see for myself how well I assessed this review.
Is the ninebot max g2 better than the scooter shown here? I also have a ninebot max g2e, but I am really thinking about it. Because it looks more powerful. What do you think?
We would definitely spend more for the GT1 but it’s not as portable. The GT1 was originally $2500 but they are trying to transition into their new scooters. I hope to see a GT3 soon!
@freshlycharged you guys have tried many scooters. With the GT1 being 1500. What would you pick, the ZT3 or GT1 if you are looking for ride comfort, durability and build quality. I don't care much about the speed, and that means I would probably get enough range with any of the 2.
I feel like smaller break disks like this would be nice. I always scrape my larger disks on curbs and crap when I least expect it. And when off road, I get plenty of little rocks, sticks & vines caught up in them too. So if it's supposed to be an off road capable scooter then yeah... smaller disks makes sense to me. I love anything tubeless, like most of us do (being easy to quickly patch), so that's great. Would've liked to see it hit 30mph at least. Maybe a slightly larger battery, but I get it. A lotta great features at a banging price of a stack. Nice.
I have the Segway Ninbot E2 plus, 16mph max, both solid tires, no worry for flat tire, what I don't like is, takes 7.5 hours to charge, the ZT Pro above takes just 3.5 hours to charge, beautiful. My handle bar has twisted for some reason, shop I bought told me to unscrew the 2 allan bolts and adjust and screw back, did it, but still same problem, I wonder if other E2 Plus have this problem too?
I've heard incredible problems with the GT1 and GT2😢 I want to know the durability between this scooter and the p65 that I have about 4,000 Mi on that I take off of sidewalks and up sidewalks bunny hopping is still possible with 60 lb😅

Segway are premiere scooters. Unlike Engwe you know you won’t have issues with scooter
Why this wasn't just put into a dual motor is just mind blowing to me smh .
That Hill's incline is extremely high.
LOL in Europe it's only 700€ finally god some good prices
⚡️⚡️⚡️
*Yewhh!*
NICE
That plastic rattling sound is very cheap!!!
48/12 is poor!!!
Other's have 48/18 or 48/20!!! Yes it's just ok for very short distances. The price is good though. Headlight is ok at low speeds, doesn't lit up the road far enough!
False 25 % hillclimb!!!
More like 15% with a 145lbs person.😮
It's not a 600W ,its a 1000W motor with 1600W max output.
You guys made a mistake about it!!!
Often made mistakes before though. 😮😊
These guys don't comment enough about the regen brakes! Should of said more about it.
The Apollo already have a few escooters with excellent adjustable electronic regen brakes!
Im just gonna ask what is pre loading a jump lol 😂
Off road scooter with 1 motor is like calling a truck off road when it's not all wheel drive (awd) it's a big NO for me
That fu king park mode beep is also on Segway F2 pro
on peut savoir son tarif?
GT2 still the best!
I have mixed feelings. It kinda looks nice and good quality, but I don't like the front fork, the small brakes and the 7 inch rims. There are a lot greater selection of tires for 6.5 or 6 inch rims. And the handlebar also sucks, looks impossible to fit any gadgets or extension to it.
In terms of build quality, segway ninebot is more like AliExpress 50 Dollar Cellphone
having the wheel behind the forks is a real weird one, why would they think thats a good idea? cool tech for the price though but performance is disgusting
Rus subtitle please 🙏
Off-road and single motor don't mix.
You want power you have to have dual😂
Hill climb 8:00 sez it all
16.21-23 there s a strange animal in the canal. a dog, a rat? omg
Alessia Glen
Another red scooter...just what the scooter world didn't need more of. Segway loves them some color red.
It says 18.5 miles at full speed 12.5k mah vs 15k mah on segway max g2. It is not 43 miles as stated
Single motor 25 mph scooter just sucks
yes
Don’t mean to be negative. It looks good. I like the light But that’s about it.
What do you want to see in a scooter at this price point?
@@freshlycharged that’s about all you can get with Segway. You can get a dual motor scooter for the same price 1299. There’s plenty of options. Segway makes it impossible to fix or upgrade yourself.
@@mikehagquist5198 not negative at all. Everyone has different needs and wants. Segway scooters may not be the fastest but they have the best craftsmanship we have seen on an electric scooter with the most tech.
Seems like it would suit my commuting needs perfectly, shame it’s so damn ugly😢
so i would spend 1000 bucks on a scooter that you can not drive up the hill?🎉
Bosco Park
Everything has an app these days. If you need an app to ride it, I'm out.
