@@princerose233 it’s called freedom of information. It’s not like the air national guard is conducting special operations. Most assets going into different units can usually be known by civilians either through the military announcing it or through multiple government FOI websites. So talking about the aircraft carriers we have 11 that is supported by 10 other ships so due to math since 11 aircraft carriers and 110 ships following those 11 aircraft carriers
FYI while the USAF number of personnel seems big it recently has shrunk to the SMALLEST number since the USAF became a separate service. When I was in the number was over half a million during the Cold War.
They did not mention The newly formed "space force" or The US coast guard (more of a defense force) The coast guard also has ships , aircraft, amphibious forces
The coast guard only becamr part of dept of defense after 9-11. They used to be under dept of transportation. But still, their mission and aircraft are not direct combat oriented. And the space force is only 3 years old and is really a useless gimmick created by someone who was desperate to build a legacy
UK especially needs to get stronger you are our strongest allies along with these countries Australia and Canada definitely need to tighten up. Australia is starting to. We stand together because at least a patriot would feel like we are the same people.
even 5 months ago when this video came out, that video they watched was out of date - they didn't cover Space Force, which has taken over most of the satellite systems. keep in mind that NASA is a civilian government organization, not military.
You also have the space force (no one in the other military branches will admit they are real) and the coast guard. The Coast Guard is mostly a defensive force and search and rescue, but they do have the resources to take on drug cartels.
Logistics. Logistics. Logistics. Everyone forgets about that part of the US military. They have caches everywhere on the planet. There are layers upon layers of transportation systems and solutions to get anything and everything everywhere. In the early 1980's, Great Britain had to scratch everything together just to drop one bomb on one runway at the bottom of the Atlantic by comparison. They were barely able to do it.
I have to fact-check the video. NOWHERE in the Constitution of the United States does the phrase "Army of the United States" appear, unless you count "Army and Navy of the United States," which appears in Article II, section 2. The Constitution doesn't even authorize the maintenance of a standing army, only the Navy and MILITIA (Article I, section 8). An army can be raised; if it is, it wouldn't not be referred as the "Army of the United States," because that's what it is. Basically, the way they said it, they made it sound as if our Constitution created the Army and Navy. They were, in fact, created by Acts of Congress.
The US navy actually has 22 aircraft carriers not 11 it has 11 super carriers and 12 more smaller carriers for the marine corps so you can say the US marines has it's own navy and air force within the navy an amphibious fighting force with it's own naval and air power
A lot of “USA military big” videos get put into perspective if you think of The United States as a Union of 50 small countries with an Average population of 5.7 million people each. If you added all of Europe’s military forces together, It’s kind of like being surprised that Europe has a lot of military. It’s the resources of almost an entire continent working together.
Couple things. The U.S. Marines in many instances are the "Tip of the Spear" while the U.S. Army are the occupying force. That being said I'd like to point out that the United States has never been an "Concurring" Force.
Something I do not know the answer to, but something to think about and try to guess as well is, if you took out all the electrical wiring in every single US Military item (vehicles, planes, ships, weapons, satellites, radars, bases, etc) and connected them all together; exactly how far into space would it reach or how many times could it circle the planet? Now also repeat this kind of thought experiment with other nations militaries and you'll see a huge difference. I'm not saying the length of cable means bigger and better army, it just means that that nation has more resources they're using. The US would be huge, but stack them with NATO, I'm sure we're going to Pluto and back a couple times, good gravy.
This video is old. First the Marine Corps divested all of their tanks and tube artillery in favor of mobile rocket systems. Second, the Navy does not have any frigates or corvettes, they are in the early stages of building their first frigates since the Perry class was decommissioned in the early 2000s. The Army also does not have no where near 1,000,000 personnel. The facts in the video was on about 50% correct.
It is installation's, not bases... so take the number with a grain of salt. Think any radar array/communication relay/etc counts as its own installation. The US does have around 400 bases though, which is still quite a lot.
nice video, but the guy who made it gets too much info from wikapedia. The Airforce was not fomed in 1907, In 1909 th U.S. army signal corps started using aircraft. The army formed The Army Air Corps in 1926 as a branch of the army. The Air Corps did not break away from the army to form it's own independent branch of the military until 1947. Additionally the USMC is not an independant branch of the military, they are part of the US Navy. The USMC keeps it's troop strength low to maintain their status as a branch of the Nave rather than becoming an independant branch of the military
The narrator kept saying 8 branches in the military, USN, USA, USAF, USCG, USMC, USNG, USSF, what is the 8th one? And if what people were saying below is correct, the USSF wasn't around when this video came out, if so, what are the other two?
If memory serves, the 8 "Uniformed Services" are currently 1 - United States Army (with Active, Reserve and National Guard components - National Guard are under state authority unless called to national service) 2 - United States Navy (same as above, but without a National Guard component) 3 - United States Marine Corps (technically a branch of the US Navy, but for all intents and purposes are treated as an independent branch and with the same components as the US Navy) 4 - United States Air Force (similar components as the US Army except the National Guard component is usually referred to as the Air National Guard. A civilian auxiliary organization, meaning primarily volunteer, called Civil Air Patrol is primarily concerned with search and rescue operations and, if I remember right, operates in all 50 states.) 5 - United States Coast Guard (Part of the Department of Homeland Security but can be and are made part of the US Navy under certain circumstances - They also have a reserve component and a civilian auxiliary organization that is primarily concerned with boating safety and training and sea search and rescue.) 6 - United States Public Health Service (This is the service who's head is the Surgeon General and are also part of the US Navy under certain circumstances) 7 - National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (Can have commissioned officers who may fall under the authority of the US Navy when needed) 8 - United States Space Force (This is the youngest uniformed service and was formerly part of the USAF. It is primarily concerned with satellites and early warning systems.) There are probably other's I'm forgetting or don't know about.
Actually the Air Force and space force are technically one big agency. NASA is more concerned over space exploration not satellites unless it’s to further the exploration of the galaxy. The space force uses the launch facilities at Kennedy space center to launch surveillance satellites via the heavy lift rockets on pads that are designated for their use only. That’s why satellites and rockets are part of military operations. Those satellites provide a lot of information to NCIS and JAG the two criminal investigative services that serve the navy and army. Also understanding the battlefield from a eye in space helps figure out enemy positions easier and counters can be quickly made. No more commanders on the field as it dangerous instead you issue orders from a bunker far away from the front lines where it’s safer.
The U.S. Air Force is the largest air force in the world. The U.S. Navy is the second largest air force in the world.

@@princerose233 it’s called freedom of information. It’s not like the air national guard is conducting special operations. Most assets going into different units can usually be known by civilians either through the military announcing it or through multiple government FOI websites. At least that’s how my country works and it’s less freedom-ish than the US.
@@princerose233 and it’s court-martial ;)
@@princerose233 it's been all over our news for 2 years dunce
Mapping every US base is a decent video.
Aukus and Canada 4 nations 1 military
UK especially needs to get stronger you are our strongest allies along with these countries Australia and Canada definitely need to tighten up. Australia is starting to. We stand together because at least a patriot would feel like we are the same people.
He said 62,000 tanks, but showed 6,200 on the screen. I think 6,200 is the real number. 62,000 is a shit load of tanks.
The video totally missed Army Aviation.
Pretty sure we have way more than 800 I know. It causes somewhere around a 150 billion. Just to maintain the bases around the world.
Our military is the best thing our tax dollars pay for. Also, they have us armed sitizens backing them up as they defend us. One America.
The forgot to list all the Navy amphibious warfare ships. These are massive and carry US Marines, attack helocopters and F-35 stealth fighter/bombers.
even 5 months ago when this video came out, that video they watched was out of date - they didn't cover Space Force, which has taken over most of the satellite systems. keep in mind that NASA is a civilian government organization, not military.
5:14 I’m with you, James. It’s a dream of mine to ride in a military jet.
Serving in the US Navy and US Army, kool video
You also have the space force (no one in the other military branches will admit they are real) and the coast guard. The Coast Guard is mostly a defensive force and search and rescue, but they do have the resources to take on drug cartels.
The US space program began as part of the Air Force before NASA existed.
Logistics. Logistics.
Not to mention what they keep top secret.
This is what we show and tell you about ;)
A lot of “USA military big” videos get put into perspective if you think of The United States as a Union of 50 small countries with an Average population of 5.7 million people each.
The U.S. Air Force owns and operates the C-M5 Super Galaxy, the largest military aircraft in the world. Look it up
Hello!
from a brother across the pond.
Video's a bit out of date, the US Marines gave up their tanks. It also didn't mention that the US has 68.7 million militiamen.
Not all of those 800 bases have hundreds or thousands of troops at them. About ⅓ of them have about 100 or fewer troops at them...
Don't forget about Coast Guard & Space Force
that's 800 known US bases. There's some that are under wraps.
She will agree with anything you say😂😂😂
This video is old. First the Marine Corps divested all of their tanks and tube artillery in favor of mobile rocket systems. Second, the Navy does not have any frigates or corvettes, they are in the early stages of building their first frigates since the Perry class was decommissioned in the early 2000s. The Army also does not have no where near 1,000,000 personnel. The facts in the video was on about 50% correct.
The Air Force rocket is the launch/deployment of military communication and intelligence gathering satellites.
Yes I would like to see it military base
That is what a ballistic missile it’s
It is installation's, not bases... so take the number with a grain of salt. Think any radar array/communication relay/etc counts as its own installation. The US does have around 400 bases though, which is still quite a lot.
The US Air-force along with Space Force does launch many rockets to space including fatalities.
All of His Majesty's Armed Forces combined have less personnel than the United States Marine Corps, the smallest of the four traditional services.
nice video, but the guy who made it gets too much info from wikapedia.
We are more than friends We are family ........ I Love the brits !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The narrator kept saying 8 branches in the military, USN, USA, USAF, USCG, USMC, USNG, USSF, what is the 8th one? And if what people were saying below is correct, the USSF wasn't around when this video came out, if so, what are the other two?
If memory serves, the 8 "Uniformed Services" are currently
1 - United States Army (with Active, Reserve and National Guard components - National Guard are under state authority unless called to national service)
2 - United States Navy (same as above, but without a National Guard component)
3 - United States Marine Corps (technically a branch of the US Navy, but for all intents and purposes are treated as an independent branch and with the same components as the US Navy)
4 - United States Air Force (similar components as the US Army except the National Guard component is usually referred to as the Air National Guard. A civilian auxiliary organization, meaning primarily volunteer, called Civil Air Patrol is primarily concerned with search and rescue operations and, if I remember right, operates in all 50 states.)
5 - United States Coast Guard (Part of the Department of Homeland Security but can be and are made part of the US Navy under certain circumstances - They also have a reserve component and a civilian auxiliary organization that is primarily concerned with boating safety and training and sea search and rescue.)
6 - United States Public Health Service (This is the service who's head is the Surgeon General and are also part of the US Navy under certain circumstances)
7 - National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (Can have commissioned officers who may fall under the authority of the US Navy when needed)
8 - United States Space Force (This is the youngest uniformed service and was formerly part of the USAF. It is primarily concerned with satellites and early warning systems.)
There are probably other's I'm forgetting or don't know about.
It doesn't matter how big it is its how good it actually is
You forgot the space force military
“Now let’s actually see just how big it is.”
