Hyperion's weakness is the writers. The reason he doesn't get looked at much is because he is a knockoff superman.

You know what, I totally agree. Hell, look at how ridiculously strong Vegeta, and Goku are.
Hyperion is an "Eternal" and his cell are saturated with "Cosmic Energy", the solar energy he absorbs, just adds to his already formidable "Eternal" abilities, which makes him a "Super Eternal".
Well no matter how much his cells are enhanced or how many quantum pickets are present in his cells. He can't have infinite power here is why. Though he may have absolute elemental immunity and absolute invulnerability so his body doesn't break. Considering that the power comes from his cells abilities to absorb the energy ever present in the universe. If he was just to try to lift a planet yet alone the universe the energy that his cells would need to absorb would make him collapse into a black hole. Due the increasing mass he would acquire and his his small size. Since no matter how enhanced your cells and particles are they can never hold an infinite amount of energy without becoming infinitely massive and just exploding. So if you want to lift a universe, for you to harness that energy without collapsing in a black hole you need to have an infinite size which is nope. That goes for his energy projection ability as well it can't surpass a threshold and also his speed. Unless he uses wormhole and space time bending to bypass the laws of physics. "Bypass" not "Break". So yeah, he is probably city wide destruction level and can lift a mountain realistically. Or else he would need to grow in size. The more cells he has the more his ability to store energy and release will increase. The more cells you have the more size you need.

Nice. But with Marvel writers, a team like that would end up fighting itself more than it fought villains. Too many alphas in that group. Plus, I can think of a similar group comprised of Marvel women that would take that group out fairly easily.

I'd argue that Thor knocking out Abyss, and breaking her mind-control over the Hulk played a bigger role in him changing back to Banner, than Hyperion's punch.
That's just bad writing when Hulk has displayed mind control resistance on the level of Thor if not way above. Xavier has put down Thor effortlessly, meanwhile Hulk laughs at Xavier's telepathy

Someone needs to just hurry up and recreate Stan Lee as the ultimate character and have him destroy everything and everyone. There has to be a limit otherwise, what’s the point. Not only are they all now physically all powerful, unstoppable and indestructible, but now they can all see the most minuscule object from across the cosmos and are so intellectually smart that they make Stephen Hawking look like Seth Rogan by comparison. Personally I disagree with you. It's a part of Superman's character being that he is a God who tries to live like a man, The level of power he has had has always separated him from humanity to some extend witch is another one the characters traits. Overpowered Characters also force writers to not be lazy and to actually think of creative ways to create interesting conflict in a story. Read some Superman and Thor stories and you'll get what I'm talking about.

Hyperion isn't just "Marvel's Superman", he's "Superman." When he first appeared, he (technically Zhib-Ran, as opposed to Mark Milton,) was a member of the "Squadron Sinister" which was a group that was basically a villainous version of DC's Justice League of America. (For example Nightwing... I mean Nighthawk was their Batman copy, and so forth.)

Graham Cann Nighthawk is a knockoff Batman and Dr Spectrum is a knockoff Green Lantern and Power Princess is a knockoff Wonder Woman.

Captain marvel is gonna need some mega powerful enemy because otherwise the movie is gonna be HELLA boring. A super powerful hero needs a super powerful villain otherwise there’s no real threat, there’s a reason why Superman is always fighting darkseid, Zod, doomsday e etc. unlike Superman captain marvel doesn’t have a weakness against magic or kryptonite so we can’t have her fight people who are bellow her powerlevel since it won’t be entertaining to watch

While not the same version of Hyperion one version wrestled Gladiator and the embrace was said to be powerful enough to rip continents apart I also loved the moment Gladiator thought he had the advantage because of his "laser vision" and the panel just says "Gladiator thought WRONG" and proceeds to get rocked by the Hyperion's "Atomic Vision". Hyperion's Atomic Vision was also capable of doing severe damage to The Beyonders which is why the first one he fights alongside Thor blinds Hyperion
Well Hulk toyed with Gladiator like a little kid and even in one of his weaker forms he can destroy continents with just his footsteps

We need Hyperion back. He's a great powerhouse and a great character. We need Secret Wars Hyperion back. I don't care if he died in that story. Thor died in that story as well and came back, so Hyperion can definitely come back. I want Hyperion to have more fights with guys like Hulk, Gladiator, Blue Marvel, Thanos and many other powerhouse heroes and villains. Just go all out and make Secret Wars Hyperion the definitive Marvel's Superman and the definitive Hyperion. Make him go on a long journey to discover who he is in the bigger picture and what his role is. If Marvel does this then I would definitely read it. Hyperion: Reborn.
His and Thor’s death was EPIC.
First Hyperion I've 'encountered' was King Hyperion and it was in Exiles vol1. Although, he was defeated there by two other Hyperions (and all of them are from different worlds from the one that is discussed in the video), I still see him more as a villain 🤔🙈

Oh please, in Quasar issue #54 Hyperion fought Gladiator... and lost. Hyperion was getting his ass handed to him and only ended the fight by ripping out part of Gladiator's mowhawk and jabbing Gladiator in the eye with the stiff hairs.
Now, I will admit this could be argued that this was a different Hyperion, perhaps weaker than the current Marvel version.
