You are an absolute lifesaver! Thank you so much! When I first got my instant pot/air fryer it locked on me and they had to send me a new one. This time it locked as I was about to open it and start cooking. Because mine wasn’t greasy, I think it’s a defect of the product. When I pushed down with the chopstick, it popped back up so I had to hold the chopstick on that lever to keep it down while I opened it. Just thought I would share that if people are reading comments and theirs is not well used. 😉 Thanks again for the awesome tutorial!🎉

on newer models it looks pretty similar - find the same compartment and take off the black rod thing, and push down the metal cylinder, but *make sure it is completely depressurized first!!!*
Our lunch turned into dinner in that instant pot but thanks to your kind act (sharing this video), we were able to save our food and the instant pot which I was about to throw away.
Thank you was ready to throw it against the wall saved my grape leaves this is what you get for trying to upgrade. Mine took so long to start. I'm glad I kept my older ones
Yessss! This saved our dinner!! Our food was in there for over 5 hrs and could not figure out how to get it out without accidentally breaking the latch!
This just worked for me! Thank you. It was not as easy to find it, i had to just push the stick around and hold and wiggle the unlock botton to feel that the stick was in the right spot
We haven't really attempted to clean it much apart from where the pressure pin is. It doesn't seem to be doing any harm and it doesn't contact the food. Degreaser or oven cleaner would probably work.
Oh dear! You will see that I put the lever to the unlocked position before refitting the rubber washer- this prevents the pin falling out inside the lid. I can only guess turning it upside down with the fan cover removed to see if you can shake it out through the fan hole? Hope you retrieve it!

Help!!!! I took the gasket off to clean & the button fell backwards into the lid 😮 how to retrieve it?????
