As an englishman im incredibly proud our small nation has produced some of, if not most of, all, the most influential rock and heavy metal bands of all time.

Imagine a "rock and roll hall of fame" that features pop, hip hop, and country artists, but no Lemmy or Dio. Inconceivable. And yet this is the timeline we live in.
This is by far their most famous song, and incredibly popular even outside the metal genre. While there have been several members over the years, the three guys in this video are what most would consider the classic line up. All three of them have sadly passed away. Phil passed away first, with Lemmy passing away only a month later. Eddie left us just over two years after Lemmy.
Lemmy 100 % real . He was the same on stage and off . Just a nice guy . Once a fan told him “you are god …..”. Lemmy replied “ you have really low standards don’t you “ with a big smile . “;
The band that shaped me growing up. RIP Lemmy, the guitarist has his own band with his son, and the drummer is now in Scorpions. They are no longer around but thier music will live on forever.
Great, iconic song that influenced punk, metal, hard rock and alternative, Lemmy & Co. Really blew it out when I saw them. First they opened for Ozzy Osbourne when he still had Randy Rhodes on killer lead, both bands were a nuclear weapon going off, that whole show was one of the best for extreme rock sensibilities I ever saw. Then I saw Motorhead headline in a large bar, as soon as they turned on the amps we knew we were in for it! Tremendous dose of Lemmy at point blank range, he was sweating and working hard, the man does not mail it in. More Motorhead, do the official and then the live video of Overkill, tremendous bulldozer of a song. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶
Orgasmatron, definitely. Best track they've ever done. It never actually got officially released, so there's no official video, but there's a really great half-animated fan-made one on here that's just PERFECT.
I was on crowd control at Sheffield City Hall when Motorhead were touring and promoting this album. When they came on stage, the crowd surge flattened the front three rows of seats. Fun pulling people outta that I can tell you.

Only it wasn't Rock n' Roll as the old rockers like Jerry Lee Lewis or Eddie Cochran fans knew it. This was heavy metal rock music, the difference was as clear as night and day. Lemmy was an old rocker with his hair grown long, but his music was another generation on from original R n' R. I knew many Teddy Boys and rockers back in the 70's and early 80's and not one of them considered Motorhead as rock n' roll. to them they were just a long haired rock band who made a racket and they had nothing good to say about them.

Love the reaction. So refreshing to watch a video where you just enjoy the song first & then say what you've gotta say afterwards. Motorhead were great, and being a Jack Daniel's swilling, rock loving, bloke called Ian from Stoke-on-Trent, I always had a great connection with Lemmy... If you want more Motorhead you could always try something like "We are the road crew" (Especially if you can find a good live version) or if you want to hear a different side of Motorhead then something like an acoustic version of "I ain't no nice guy" is worth a listen.
Yes! Motörhead! When Lemmy introduced the band he would say”we’re Motörhead and we play rock n’ roll. My favorite quote from him was “if we moved in the house beside you, we play so loud your grass would die”.

Seeing them live was an experience. I only saw them once, when they were touring with "special guests" Sepultura. Well, Sepultura were absolutely brutal. No nonsense, no faff, just straight-up Brazilian thrash metal. They were so good that I had a bit of difficulty getting into the Motörhead set when Lemmy and his friends came on stage. At the time, I was more familiar with Sepultura than with Motörhead. However, Lemmy turned it around in short order. Lemmy famously had no tolerance for faff or bullshit. They just came on stage and did their thing. From time to time, Lemmy would ask the audience if it was loud enough. And, whatever noises we made he got his sound guy to turn it up anyway. At the end of their set, Lemmy said "This is the bit where we pretend to go away, then you make lots of noise and we come back and do another song." Since Ace of Spades had not happened yet, I had a suspicion that it would be their encore song. It's their most widely-known song, after all. (Yes, they came back on and played Ace of Spades. ) "Everything louder than everything else." Yup. My ears were ringing for three days after that.
Metallica was heavily influenced by Motorhead. Motorhead even did a cover of "Enter Sandman" that they uploaded onto their RUclips channel. Lemmy (the bass player and lead singer for Motorhead) even got to play with Metallica back on September 14th of 2009 as Metallica covered two of Motorhead's songs, "Damage Case" and "Too Late Too Late". There were also two more Motorhead songs that Metallica covered back in December of 1995 while Metallica was rehearsing for Lemmy's 50th birthday party, "Overkill" and "Stone Dead Forever".
I would suggest checking out a live performance of their track Overkill. It's a far more energetic and more encapsulating of Motörhead then this track (Yes, this track is a classic, but they made better songs. Yes i know that's an unpopular opinion) Trivia: There is common misconception about the album this song was on. People think this was their biggest hit, but it never broke the top 3 on the charts. Their highest charting album was the album after this one, called No Sleep 'til Hammersmith (a live album) and went in at number 1 the week of release Adding other suggestions: Don't let daddy kiss me, We are Motörhead, Keys to the Kingdom, Eat the Rich, In the Name of Tragedy, Orgasmatron, 1916, I'm so Bad Baby I Don't Care, Killed by Death. Just to name a few :)
You make a good point. Ace of Spades is a classic, but for me Bomber is their best track and my favourite song of all time. That riff just never gets old. I saw them a few times and they blew the roof off the place!

Lemmy, the iconic frontman of Motorhead, left an indelible mark on the world of rock and roll. He epitomized the rockstar stereotype, embodying rebellion, excess, and unapologetic attitude. Motorhead's significance lies not only in their thunderous sound but also in their influence on shaping heavy metal and hard rock. Their anthems like "Ace of Spades" and "Overkill" became anthems of defiance, capturing the essence of their live-fast, no-holds-barred ethos. Albums like "No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith" and "Bomber" are etched into rock history, showcasing Lemmy's gritty vocals and the band's relentless energy. His legacy persists through his music and the impact he had on generations of fans and fellow musicians.
A great party song😍👍🏻🤘🏻💪🏻. Please check out ”Imperiet- var är vargen ”. A Swedish song from the early-80s. Another great party song. I think you can get it with English suptitels, but I might be wrong.
Aileen, you captured it. These guys were not just rockers. They were involved in their music. They were part of the music body and soul. That is why Lemmy (bass), Phil 'Filthy Animal' Taylor (drums), and 'Fast' Eddie Clarke (lead guitar) sounded so good. After Eddie left the band it never sounded the same again, as he brought something to Motorhead that made the sound so special. These guys invented heavy metal. They came before all the other heavy metal bands that set out to replicate and better their sound. Motorhead was a sort of combination between a rock and a punk band, and was applauded by both genres. Lemmy called himself a guitarist that plays bass, and not a bass guitarist. And if you listen closely, he plays the bass almost like a lead guitar. A totally approachable and very down to earth and sensible person. Phil was the original thrash metal drummer, before anyone else could claim that title which belonged solely to him. He was a little wild at times, but still an exceptional drummer who devised the use of two bass drums in the music. Eddie was lovely bloke, and a guitarist of superlative technique with an exquisite sound. Lemmy and Phil were the cake, and Eddie was the icing and cherries on top! What more could anyone ask for? Next one to try is The Hammer with the same line up. This song was Phil's song. Unfortunately all three are now deceased, but their legend lives on. Incidentally, Lemmy was a roadie for The Jimi Hendrix Experience.
They broke the mold when they made Lemmy, he was rock 'n roll. He saw The Beatles at the cavern club, was a roadie with Hendrix, played a gig at Stonehenge, the list goes on and on. Henry Rollins has some really great and really sweet stories about him.
I saw this line up in about 1982, probably when No Sleep 'til Hammersmith came out. No Class and Bomber were my favourites. Easily the loudest gig I'd been to until I heard the Instruments of Jah reggae sound system play!
The lead singer Lemmy is considered the grandfather of metal. Started as a roadie for Jimmy Hendrix and started a band of his own playing the bass and singing. Eventually making moatorhead that every metal band to metalica worships and had some kind of a friendship with being there inspiration. Was even mine for getting my bass so I wasn't only doing vocals.
Thank you for finally doing Motorhead, and in particular Ace of Spades. It went exactly like I knew it would, you went from the biggest smile to absolute stink-face and back to the biggest smile! Love your reactions Aileen!
I grew up in the 80s and this band was for many of us the introductory for us to metal. If you didn’t listen to motorhead you weren’t considered a headbanger.😂
I never forget ... When Motörhead played in The Netherlands. They stood there, and Lemmy screamed: "we're Motörhead, and we play rock n roll! Let's go!' And then they played Overkill! I love that song! It doesn't stop...it just doesn't stop. 😊
"It's so short..." ... yeah... so you can listen to it again... and again... and again... so you can enjoy three times the awesomeness in the same amount of time !
As soon as I seen the thumbnail for this reaction of yours Aileen, I knew you'd love their performance 100% because I know that you love your rock hard, fast and gritty. I also knew you'd wish that it was longer but the boys burned off more energy in less than 3 minutes than most hard rock bands do in 9 minutes of hard rocking. Especially Phil beating those drums!
I remember when it came out, I was a kid, and was probably doing an impression of someone having a seizure , it came out in 1980 I think, so I wasn't very old. I have loved that song ever since..
One of my favorite reactions to this band is from Anthrax's Scott Ian. He listened to this album and looked at the photo of the band on the back and thought, "Who are these mexicans and how do they play so fast?" Makes me laugh everytime I think of it.
One of very few bands that has zero to no haters. Pretty much every metalhead loves motorhead

Great song and great reaction (again!) Unfortunately, all three musicians are no longen with us….
They sung two of WWE HHH themes
Nothing beats balls to the wall heavy metal and Motorhead are always the band to go to for raw metal masterpiece.
Looking incredible as usual Aileen, amazing song from a legendary band
incredibly nice reaction, the main thing is to have fun with it
Glad to see you back. Hope you're doing well
Thank you for finally doing Motorhead, and in particular Ace of Spades.
R.I.P. Lemmy
I never forget ... When Motörhead played in The Netherlands.
They stood there, and Lemmy screamed: "we're Motörhead, and we play rock n roll! Let's go!'
And then they played Overkill! I love that song! It doesn't stop...it just doesn't stop. 😊
Lemmy ❤THXX1000 R.I.P. 🙏
👍😎🤘
"It's so short..."
... yeah... so you can listen to it again... and again... and again... so you can enjoy three times the awesomeness in the same amount of time !
welcome to the MotorHead part of your Journey 🤘 there is no wrong path
Seen them in concert 5th of November 1980 Carlisle, Cumbria England.
A true gentleman , evryone who met him fell in love with him , a wonderful group of guys .
I love “Dogs”.
It stuck out when I first heard it way back when I don’t know when.
We’re DOGS!
I remember when it came out, I was a kid, and was probably doing an impression of someone having a seizure , it came out in 1980 I think, so I wasn't very old. I have loved that song ever since..
Its great to see you back Aileen, we missed you!!
The band that brought metal and punk together
One of my favorite reactions to this band is from Anthrax's Scott Ian. He listened to this album and looked at the photo of the band on the back and thought, "Who are these mexicans and how do they play so fast?" Makes me laugh everytime I think of it.
