    Incidents like these are a lesson in always having a passport even if the cruise you're taking doesn't require one.

    Now I can't say I was one of the later groups to de-board the boat, but I was part of that situation and I believe they handled it very well. Free wifi so people could let families know they were safe, got the DR coast guard out to check the boat to see if It was alright to depart or not, and when it wasnt they arranged charter buses and flights for people like me, who do not have a passport, as well as arrange meals for everyone on the plane. In the end we got home, got that cruise free of charge, and even credit toward another cruise (which was actually used over thanksgiving week). All in all, It was chaotic and no one was happy about it, but as far as I know everyone got home safe. idk what this lady talking about.

    Hello I'm a crew member onboard navigator of the seas and what it's happening at least in this ship is really insane because crew is now like kidnapped because management don't let them leave the ship even when they already have finished their contract still retained against their will. Please share this sad news because this will be the only way this could be stopped, people like are the only voice for crew. Thank U very much

    I was on this boat on this cruise, they tried to fly my 14 yo brother home alone and we denied going, they ended up delaying us to the last group who left, we stayed at a luxury resort in there and they gave us a fell refund and one free cruise. We ended up getting our full 7 day vacay, and we went on an alaskan cruise for free, thy did everything they could for us and we are grateful

    Was in the line 4 two hrs with no ac and got our results by someone knocking on out door at 12:30

    I know someone still stuck in the DR. They were kicked off the ship to fend for themselves with no instructions and no Norwegian representative to help them. Unacceptable.

      False they were provided a hotel and transportation and airline ticket to get home. the big problem is a lot of these stranded did not have passports and have to go through the Government red tape. The other problem is they were only able to reserve so many flights from delta and American so not NCL fault. These passengers got a full refund free airline ticket and a credit for a future cruise, so NCL went out of their way to get people home Your statement totally wrong, Yes, I have friends that work for NCL and know the truth.

      @@jameswade7550 I'm just relaying one passenger's experience. Not false. There are many sides to this story, and I'm not saying you're wrong other than saying my friend is wrong. She lived it. NCL's communication was poor. Not just my friend, but several people in the Washington Post article tweeted how there was chaos at the airport cuz nobody knew what was going on.
      Yeah everyone is getting a refund and a discount on a future cruise. Whoopee, that's the least they can do. But that doesn't help them get home. They shouldn't have left them behind with no NCL representative to assist people and explain plans and procedures. They sailed away with an empty ship. Leave some customer service people behind to take care of the passengers. The next cruise was canceled anyway for the ship to be repaired and I assume fully inspected.
      NCL may have thought they were taking care of everyone, but that's not the perspective of at least several hundred of those stranded. I'm never cruising NCL until they change management or admit their failures here and address the problems for the future.

      @@jameswade7550 UMM ACTUALLY YOU ARE mostly WRONG I WAS THERE. it was a shit show for people like me who did have passports. There were absolutely zero norwegian reps there helping us. Mass chaos with kids in the sun, diabetics having issues. Im too lazy to type it all but ncl screwed this up. They said they had chartered planes for us but there was absolutely not enough. I felt so bad for ppl who waited hours upon hours at the airport then had to be bussed back to a resort. I got lucky after hours and hours of thinking I will be sleeping on the airport floor. Luckily my name was on the list. But some ppl got totally screwed

      @@hamonrye9823 I agree the airport could of been Handle better but read the contract in a situation like this NCL only had the obligation to provide transport to the airport and reserve planes. but its up to the airlines to get you on those planes. Now I have family that work for Delta here in Atlanta and they said that the real problem was they did not have crews for those flights. actually airlines have not recovered from covid as they have had a lot of people leave the airlines. Now I agree NCL could of had reps there and phone number where other reps were standing by to help.

      Thats not NCL fault as when you travel to these Caribbean countries you have to follow their Guidelines and in the D.R. you have to have a face covering as you do at all these ports of call.

      It was in orlando mco where they were tweaking about masks. Dominican people were so awesome thru this they were working their asses off not complaining even tho Norwegian dumped us on them. They not used to being overwhelmed like that at tanio bay but they never panicked or complained they just went to work serving us. But Norwegian reps were no where to be found.

      The anxiety lady was about to suffocate in that ridiculous duck 🦆 mask, 150,000 mask less attended the Indy 500 2021, ZERO outbreak didn’t even crack the news as a ‘super spreader, 2022 Daytona 500 same thing, 2021 Texas race same thing ZERO mention anywhere.
