Beaver, I'm just about to decide on which RTR to buy. Which do you or any of your followers think is the all-around best of these two chassis for a 1/24 AWD drift and racing noon to buy? The mini-Q7 carbon and metal chassis or mini-Q9 all metal chassis?

Only the 98mm one that is very wide or use the wide body kit. Personally I don't recommend that because the car is a bit too long and too wide.

Batter that works with the ESC directly is the one with JST-PH plug. Hi there, I've been wanting to build a 1:28 scale rwd rc drift car however I don't know what chassis option to pick. I'm thinking atomic drz v2, there is an option of the drz v2 which includes some electronics (servo gyro and hobbywing speed controller). Should I get this or just a base kit and get the electronics myself? also what electronics and reciever/transmitter do u recommend which won't break the bank but will make a good rc car as I don't really want to spend too much as it is my first proper rc car.

DRZ V2 is a good start, take a look at V3 as well because it has many improvements over the V2.
As for the kit with electronics or not, if you are going to use sensorless motor only, the kit with electronics is the best value. Otherwise a sensored kit will be way more expensive.
As for a transmitter, take a look at RC4GS V3. It has the best price/performance right now.

@@BeaversHobby how hard is it to build an atomic drz? I've had some experience with electronics but nothing like this which involves linkages, joints etc. I've heard the qc isn't great so the build involves lots of sanding and refining to parts so it can all fit. are there any videos of the building process as I see you haven't done a drz v2 build.
@@BeaversHobby i also have seen the gl racing gld, would this be a better option, are the parts more refined and better quality?
@@pixsled Out of the box GLD doesn't have as good steering as DRZ V3. You will have to add front aluminium bulkhead, front aluminium shock tower and caster adjustment to access full potential of the car. However it's easier to build. The parts quality are not much difference. I personally fine GL Racing has better quality and the holes like up better than Atomic.
