Oh as for that loop on boot, try this.
Take out the battery for an hour.
Then, before putting the battery back in.
Press AND HOLD DOWN - the top power-on button.
Put the battery IN with that "held down"
Wait a few seconds, then lift your finger.
    Now power it on again.
It should have factory reset, and work properly..

I'd hazad a guess, that the battery wasn't the problem, but that your screen timeout was incorrectly set, as was your backlight on the display, meanin it didn't light up like it was there on an old video you showed, with the RED background, and as I had two of them, one with a blue & one with a red background, the red one was utterly useless with a fuzzy camera and it refused to function a lot, whereas the blue one took crisp clear videos and for upwardss of 1+1/2 hours per clip, way long enough for dashcamming.

Love the old Nokias, for the images , perhaps you could try the photo stacking method in photoshop to get some noiseless images then some camera raw adjustements and you'd get a decent photo,
The only thing that makes them unusable today is the lack of support for modern used apps like whatsapp or messenger , other than that they'd be great .
Nice location you live in btw

      Hi again.
Your computer from 2009 was possibly a windows XP, in which case it would have had the windows Photo Gallery program, (&) inside of which was the Windows Movie Maker Program, a VERY GOOD (in my opinion) video editor, & creator tool.
I did "all" of my (live) RUclips videos until recently, on my Nokia 6120 Classic Cellphone's MONO audio / colour video recorder.
I also took a LOT of photos with it, which I "stitched together" inside Movie Maker, with whatever audio I was "playing-with" in an ANALOGUE surround sound format of mine, to create audio tracks which I could upload onto RUclips, but because THEY only accepted something that looks like a movie, I thus had to create audio visual movies - hence my use of photos, either my own, or public one's found across the internet, along with audio tracks I wished to upload.
Such as the 17 secs of a local fire siren "wail" (Monday nights here is the local fire brigades PRACTICE night, so I quickly grabbed an old micro-cassette dictaphone and recorded a twin "rise & fall" wail-clip of 17secs of the siren.
I then drove some ways from here and took a SILENT video of a 360 degree sweep around my music-van.
When I came home, I searched the internet for as many propellor plane pictures as possible, as I was on a "quest".
Someone had talked about the impossibility of creating a stereo image from a MONUARAL sound track.
I didn't believe them and told them so, to which they retorted, well - prove me wrong then "as it isn't possible".
I think I eventually proved that as it took me over three months of almost continual remasterings, to modify that 17 second sound clip, (in my own audio studio) from a mere mono, into a lengthy 79 minute multiple track ANALOGUE surround sound track that JUST fir onto a music CD.
I then had to shorten it down (somewhat) to get it to "work" in the glitchy Movie Maker project (on a small 2005 DELL PC), which crashed more often than I could remember to save each piece that I modified, between each photo that I squashed in, and in each of the hundreds of "fade-ins" that I did between all of those pictures, along with the excessively munted 17 sec sound clip's modifications.
      ie:
The 17sec fire siren MONO track via a microcassette dictaphone:
      ruclips.net/video/0K5YI51nGrc/видео.html
& THIS is what I did, with what I had to work with, (via the Nokia 6120 classic cellphone and windows movie maker and my stereophonic remastering studio) when I created the result to prove that fella wrong.
I "could" and DID, use that single mono track to create not only stereo, but a full surround sound effect.
      ruclips.net/video/pfVxIuoHGlk/видео.html
But, I won't ever need to do that much excessively creative work ever again - as I proved my point very successfully.

I'm loving the fact that soon, NO ONE will ring the phone whie I am making videos ( which used to stop everytime a txt or ph ring came in, mening some videos stopped halfway or ended up being corrupted in some way, or stopped and didn't start videoing again if I dropped the call... r it stopped before I knew it had come in.. resulting in long periods with no dashcam recordings.
But now, it will soon be an "only a camera" so the using a cellphone while driving won't stick, as it won't be a cellular phone will it?

@@Kevin4u2c Split the links, as that way - you wouldn't actually "be" putting in useable links, just words and characters, that others would NEED to remove the space from.
Thus you can space out words and put (dot) where the . dot would be.

I also got a 6120c and I got it in 2007. The camera was really really bad at that time. Outdoors at day time with good sun the pictures were almost good enough or good enough but never crazy impressing! The flagship model at that time was Nokia N95 that took soooo much better photos! The quality was sooooo much better. Also, that "flash" on 6120c was SO BAD! I almost hated the camera in 6120c, so low budget!!
What I loved about that phone was the nice and small form factor, the good built-in speaker, S60/Symbian, 3,5G and that it had 3,5mm audio jack and Mini-USB. No "Nokia port" (Pop-port).
Note that 6120c never had GPS, Wifi and USB charging. N95 had GPS and Wifi (but not USB charging). Another N95 feature that 6120c never had was TV out.
The small keypad made it hard to press the right buttons but you got used to it by time.
    City Bloxx was so fun!
Now without SIM card 6120c is almost useless/worthless. And when 2G/3G networks are shut down 6120c is almost useless even with a SIM card!
The web browser cannot load anything. Only a very very few exceptions but how good/bad will the browser load these sites? Back in 2007 and the years after that, the web browser could load everything. Now it's ALMOST nothing. Because the almost all servers will not allow that old browser.
And most services that there were apps for are shut down or you need a newer app version that's not available for S60.
I'm sorry to say it but 6120c is so close to garbage that you can see in 2024 and probably in 2026 when 2G/3G networks are shut down the phone is such garbage. You can take some "ok" photos in good light conditions and play some MP3/AAC files, play some low res MP4 clips, play some games, use the calendar and so on but that's all. It's worse than a "Nokia iPod Touch" because there's no wifi. So even if Opera Mini will work in 2026 you need wifi that the phone doesn't have.
My 6120c is in a much better condition by the way! Looks almost as brand new! Was much better phone than iPhone in 2007! And I love the "home screen" with the latest calendar post, shortcuts to the apps that I've picked, and some more features on the home screen. But now, that 6120c is almost useless. A good backup "emergency phone" as long as 2G/3G networks still works!

Unfortunately, you "never" cleaned the rear lens so the pictures weren't great eh?
I found that out, in time, that the protective film they put over it, in the factory - left a tiny almost invisible smear on the lens, that made "taking pictures" very fuzzy.
Cleaning it with a good cleaner, removed the stickiness and left me with a brilliant camera.
It also took the ONLY videos I have ever been abe to take well, and although it was a brilliant dashcam for me, allowing me to use a small piece of 16mm casing, (from some electrical cap&casing) to hold it onto the dash, it also held the minature SD card in a readily accessible slot, down on the lower left hand side, which allows you to remove the memory card WITHOUT turning off the phone, which could then still be used as a telephone/text device.
HOWEVER - I did hate the fact it would cut off the video whenever anyone was ignorantly ringing me, when I was video'ing.
But now, thankfully, what with the 3G network closing down completely (there won't be any more access to the internet OR to any mobile network, so no-one ringing during video'ing) & nothing else for me to use the telephone for, I can use it EXCLUSIVELY to take videos with.
I bought a "new" latest model of telephone/text Nokia's, which yes has a crappier video taker, but ..???
It's memory card is kept UNDERNEATH the battery, which means I have to defeat the phone, turn it off TOTALLY (have parts everywhere, just to get the memory card out?
So yeah that won't happen again.
      Buggah that.
You say a Nokia 6120 classic is bad? Try a BRAND NEW (2024 model) Nokia 2660 FLIP.
That's a 4^ LTE - that has useless internet - as it actually isn't made for connectivity at all.
At least it rings, and I can make calls and texts, but as for anything else, it's way worse than the original wireless car-phone that Motorola brought out in the mid 1970's.
