We had that guy. Mathew Golden IS that guy. However, he isn't much help when you run a toss sweep on the ONE yard line! The only problem with Golden was getting him the ball. He proved he will catch it if you just get it near him. That's on Sark IMO. As for next year I'm not sure if I agree that TX has everything it needs. We were supposed to have the best Oline THIS year and they didn't really get it done in the biggest games. Well that Oline is essentially gone now and will be almost all new. That is very concerning IMO. Add into that a new starting QB and the potential is there for serious growing pains next year. Growing pains can cost you games. I am doubtful they will be as successful this year as they were last year. They *should* still make the 12 team playoffs but I bet it's much more sketchy if they do.
i’m less worried about Texas in 2025. UT 2025 O-line projected starters: Goosby left tackle: 4star, was the #3 o tackle in the nation in 2024 class. we saw him sub in for kelvin banks several times with no noticeable drop-off. Brandon Baker: this 5 star is our projected right tackle for 2025. 247sports had him as the #1 interior Offensive lineman in his class in the nation. neto umeozulu left guard: a junior, played in 5 games for UT in 2024 dj campbell right guard -returning starter cole hutson center-senior, the Horn’s utility lineman all year, played several positions -- we have a lot of depth behind these projected o line starters. -- don’t even get me started on how stacked Texas is at wr, TE, RB. Texas D is similarly stacked, perhaps we pick up an interior D lineman in the spring portal. How is Texas already better than in 2024? -RB CJ Baxter, Christian Clark (having bruising rb’s will help our red zone issues) -dual threat QB Manning, who had 9 TD’s vs 2 TO’s in his limited 2024 play time. (having a true dual threat qb will help our red zone issues)
@tullfarley4962 what people don't understand is that players like Arch, true God given talent type players, can turn a corner in development so fast it will make your head spin, he could come out and win the Heisman, and UT will run away with the natty ... I expect Arch to be better than expected and to IMPROVE dramatically as the season goes on
@@tullfarley4962 I hope you are right. I'm just saying the Oline usually takes time to get experience and gel. The Oline from last year was supposed to have all that and also had Kelvin Banks who is not easily replaced. Maybe they come together better...I don't know. All I know is the Oline last year should have been more solid and it wasn't.
As a Buckeye fan, this episode crystallizes the delusion. I think that the agreed upon lie with Longhorns is that because both OSU and Texas won BCS titles that these programs are the same. There is wide separation between these two schools because OSU kept winning playoff titles and Texas didn't. OSU is still in its home conference, the Big 10 while Texas moved over not winning and money.
Texas was tied 14-14 vs OSU until 8 minutes left in the game. 8 minutes. Then OSU scored, then Ewers got stripped on the OSU 1 yard line and Sawyer ran it back. But until those final 8 minutes…14-14.
Fair take, I'd be a lot more comfortable as a Buckeye fan if this was the fourth game of the year instead of the opener. We'll be starting a new QB too and almost a completely new defense...it should be interesting.
@@remohioYeah it’ll be two completely different teams compared to the cotton bowl with all the nfl talent leaving on both rosters. Hoping our new offensive line is up to the task, congrats on the natty btw. I was curious if you guys were going to the portal for a QB or not
OSU isn't Michigan. And we've already beaten you in your home state of Texas at the Cotton Bowl. You need some humility and learn from your loss (being a finesse team and scoreless in the first quarter). You sound delusional.
@@CarlaJenkinsTVosu will be losing 10 out of 11 starters on defense. They will be losing several guys including will howard on offense. That’s not being delusional, that’s being honest.
Arch manning has hung unto texas longer than i thought & should of transfered out after the call that costed the Long time coming program the shot of the gold since 01 they let slip away in one bad call from the coaching administration that will haunt the longhorns 2come !!
Actually, Ohio State's 1st 4 drives were tds. Their 3 drives in the first half and their opening drive in the 3rd quarter.
Interesting fact. Will Howard rushed for more yards than Riley Leonard and had 1 less rushing attempt.
Maybe they'll learn to stay home and cover the backs on a broken play and NOT do sweep-left on 2nd & goal from the 1???
I think we have that guy outside Wingo or Ffrench. I believe it was on Quinn, not being able to throw the deep ball.
Texas has a good football team they actually had the athletes to compete w OSU. That game came down to coaching mistakes. They beat notre dame

Or Arch Manning is HIM, wins the Heisman, and makes us unstoppable

Texas doesn't do what Texas does, for Texas. Texas does what Texas does because Texas is... Texas. 😊

I was saying on another Horns channel that was hating on us that yall woulda beaten ND. I still feel like Texas was the best team we played all year…
Forsure brother, congrats on the Chip! #HookEm
Clearly, Texas was the best team ... we played OSU tougher than anyone in the playoff

@ because Texas is an elite team. But also just not good enough on that day. Bc that’s how football is….
I wander if Caleb Downs is kin to the great Michael Downs from the Landrys Cowboys?

What ive learned from the Ohio State win is go pay over $20 million dollars and buy the damn championship lol
I think the Arch comp is Cam Newton. Can't wait
I would say Andrew Luck
Going to make a bold prediction, this August Texas beats the defending national champ in their own stadium for the second year in a row.

Texas needs a coach who can call plays and use the talent on the 40 acres. Sark is not it.
The longhorns keep their hopes manning is going to keep being disrespected in his game leading the way in a oltion QB run and gun swag he brings"
