This is a great tutorial to follow and understand, I hope you continue to thrive with many more tutorials and blessings to come. Thank you Shania 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
A first time Shania viewer, and now big time fan. Love it when the tutors 'get straight to it.' Too many tutors talk their heads off far too much when all that's necessary is is brief intro, and the lesson. Thank you Shania. 💚

It might be 6.28 which is 2*pi (3.14). 6.8 was too big for me, but my head is literally kid-sized. Still, you have such a wonderful way of presenting information. 😊
@@ShaniaShania I have to watch a couple few times, to get this!! In the beginning when you were measuring your head, where did you get the figure 6.8”?
Thank you so much! I have attempted another pattern, but this drafting method is much better. So lovely of you to share your process. I fell in love with the bucket hats by Nigel on First in Fashion, and I am itchy to make one for one of my customers who loves hats.
Yayyy! i'm so happy that you were able to find the help you were looking for. i have no doubt that your customer will love the hat you make them! Cheers, and Happy Sewing! ✨💕
Thank you sooo much for this tutorial on how to make it fit your head. You made it seem so easy, I'm looking forward to it. I just found you a few minutes ago on 1.27.24. I wish you well. Thanks for sharing
@@ShaniaShania I just made the pattern to fit my head.....I did the slash and spread (awesome method). I made a bucket hat the other day from a pattern I downloaded, but it was too small for my taste, so I'm totally excited about doing it using my new pattern 😊
you're very welcome!! the other numbers that I used are what I gathered from watching other tutorials. Happy to answer any other questions that you have 💕
Oh, one more thing, after I made my first hat this week and I stitched the lines on it, it kept going around in a circle, I'm like, I don't like that. I thought to myself that I would sew the lines on before attaching the hat and what do I find..... that's exactly what you did.....I love it 😅
Look at that, great minds think alike! 🤗I find it kind of challenging to sew curves so i figured it would be easier to sew the row of stitches while the pattern was still flat
i think you're talking about the 6.8 division (at 00:16) right? ...if you are, it's because i wanted to find the radius of my circle for the top of the hat, so i did this calculation : the circumference of my head divided by 2π (...2π is approximatley 6.25 but i add a bit more to it for ease). Let me know if this still doesn't make sense.

@@ShaniaShania I have a question. Is 6.8 what should be used for each hat size to find the radius? Or does it vary. Math! :/
@@pookatoo i think you can use it to find the radius for any hat size.

ahh I wish u added the Seam allowance from the beginning =(
I don’t usually add seam allowance until after because I like to let people decide how much seam allowance they want to use ☺️
