    You've changed my mind on close-spraying! LOL. Great production on this video, too. My favorite frag channel for sure.

    Great topic brother! I do keep a couple of belcam frags in my vehicles for dumb reaches, but never the good stuff. I am guilty of spraying the cap only to mess up the bottle and collar. I have found that spraying the boxes to test a frag is a bad idea, I have gotten some rotten/funky smells off the box. SOTD Armaf CDN private key to my life.

      @@santanarodriguez881 Thanks my man! Yeah I'm guilty of spraying the box but only the inside where it's not laminated. And nice SOTD! I've seen it around but haven't tried it yet. What's it like?

      @@eaudecheap it's great, totally falling in love with the private key line. It's definitely a chameleon beast mode citrus/ fresh/woody frag. Gives me a little bit of Layton, Tygar, Sauvage, Blue de Chanel and CDNIM. I picked up 3 tester bottles on eBay for $36ea, key to my life (blue bottle), dreams (black bottle) and success(grey bottle). The black and grey bottles are bangers too, I am going to pick up the key to my soul (white bottle) next. Armaf really stepped up their game with this lineup, I now understand why they were priced so high. The quality and performance are definitely on par with designer/niche frags for sure.

      @@santanarodriguez881 Dude, that sounds like a versatile beast! Going to have to get my hands on it! I know at first the Private Key line was way overpriced. But I'm sure it's gone down a good bit since its release. Thanks for the suggestion!

    My pet peeve is shoving coffee grounds in my face at the fragrance counters. Now all I smell is coffee. I’m not sure how fixing nose blindness by adding another smell is supposed to work. And then getting The Look when I decline to use it. If I go nose blind I find walking away for a few minutes and sniffing my own clean shirt helps a lot, but coffee just makes everything smell like coffee

      @@SteveDeMentPhotography Dude YES! And I'll get the same look whenever I'm with friends and tell them not to use it while they try it. If coffee fixes anosmia by "resetting" your nose, then it would be counterproductive to have a coffee note in a fragrance. It's just never made sense to me. And like you said, smelling a clean shirt or even my own clean skin helps to ease my olfactory fatigue. Usually, I'll just walk away and come back later after getting fresh air. Great point! Thanks for the comment!

    My pet peeve, and you alluded to this, is when they don't apply enough of the fragrance to experience the true smell.

    Aren't your points about spraying up close and not rubbing the perfume a bit contradictory? Whether you spray from a distance or "thin it out" by rubbing, the same amount of fragrance still ends up on your skin.

    • @eaudecheap
      @eaudecheap  Месяц назад +1

      @@Verdoux007 Good point! My thought is that thinning out the fragrance from one spray isn't going to be as even as spraying multiple sprays across your body. Plus rubbing the fragrance into the skin may cause it to breakdown faster. There's also a point of spraying too far away, which is why most people discourage the "spray and walk into" method. The point is that rubbing in isn't as effective as spraying.
