This is why I subscribe to Britec09 computers! This is a great video, I have never done this before and can't recall a situation where I've had to re register the DLL's but in case I ever come across the problem I'll remember I saw this somewhere before haha. And also one of my favorite things about you is I absolutely love how you write very good descriptions for the videos in the description box. Some people are good book learners while some people are good at just listening and learning. It helps me alot to read the descriptions for the videos as well as watching so I've always appreciated that. Thanks!
Problem got fixed after sfc scan... I got bp.dll error while trying to install any game/ exe files... Thank you bro. I am computer engineering student so this video is more important for me :-)
The pipe command is missing in Line 2 of your notes section. It's correct on your screen of course. Line 2 should read: Dir *.dll /s /b > c: egdll.bat (THIS FIXED IT FOR ME)
Ahhh! BLOODY HELL! I followed your steps and paused as I went along and I saved and closed the notepad, played your video and I missed the part where you said to delete all the winsxs. So I opened the notepad and the command started running! I hope it doesn't mess up my pc.
Of course it doesn't work for me. It never does... It's like I'm always the one out of 1000 it doesn't work for... So annoying but thank you anyways. Only option I have left is to try and restore with a cd or reinstall windows completly... EDIT: I had to reset my computer but now it works perfectly fine. Just save all your data before you do it :)
ahhh your like me having the netutils.dll error 0cx000012f, restore wont work I've done it like three times. And the problem with my is I installed windows with a download so a cd reinstall is out of the question .
I copied-and-pasted from your instructions above as the video was playing, and I happen to catch that the ">" is missing out of the text in the instructions (step 2). I put it in on my copy, and used it as represented in the video when I built my batch file; I have no idea what it does, but if someone did as I did and just copied what you had there (and didn't catch the omission), then they'd be running the command without it, of course. If that's a significant issue, you should edit the instructions, perhaps?
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: If you can't fix it from this way and have no option, there is always a way: 1. Close all of your programs that are running 2. Shut down your device and let it sleep tight 3. Put it in your laptop's bag or if yours is computer then you can bring it 4. Bring all of them to the computer service 5. Don't forget to bring your money as well 6. Ask for them to fix them and pay money 7. Hope it can help you 8. Don't be mad on me 9. Thank you.
Thanks Brian, also as a side note every user should make backups of their registry, my favorite tool to do so is called Regbak, it works with XP and up including Windows 10, also Brian did a video of this tool ages ago so take a look. Now some of you might wonder about just making a backup using the built-in regedit tool, but this is not recommended, the backup file when used to restore the registry will merge the old entries with the new, which can make things worse. Tools like Regbak make complete registry backups and when restored will completely replace the current registry with the backup version. Also the backups make with regbak are easy to restore and you can manually restore the backups even if the PC no longer boots to windows as long as you can get to a commandline window like the one provided on the Windows Install disc.
Yup, plus I love the fact you can make a registry backup automatically via the scheduled tasks, great for non-tech savvy people since they don't have to lift a finger.
brian, there a mistake on the description Replace all c:\ with Regsvr32.exe /s c:\ that you should add symbol > to get it save at c:/ drives.overall i done this step wihout a hitch everything run smooths.thank you so much.
When I try to do it, after finishing the process, I get an error message saying '*.dll' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

One other way you can perform this without having to create the batch file. If you go to the c:\windows and type the FOR command it will register all the DLLs --- for %d in (*.dll) do regsvr32.exe /s /i --- this will work in what ever your current directory is - you could also use this for command with just the first version of your exported regdll.bat instead export it to regdll.txt and include it into the FOR statement instead of the *.dll enter the file name.

Isn't it also caused by people who use pirated windows which prevents it from updating and they cant get c++ libraries and vb libraries. Am i right?
Well pirated programs sometimes use there own edited dll files
it says for me The source file could not be found use the source option to specify the location of the files that are required to restore the feature.
