Microsoft Russian Square Plus! Edition - Gravity Ride

Microsoft Russian Square Plus! Edition is a rare puzzle game only available with the (now defunct) Plus! Pack for Windows XP. The game play wasn't anything special, but the music was very impressive: the game included 3 music tracks of different styles, each of which developed and became more complex the farther through the game you got, culminating to a rather intense ending.
The game's last track, "GravityRide", is easily my favorite of the three. It starts off as dark and atmospheric with a little hint of jazz, occasionally adding strange sound effects to the mix, and then finally explodes with a squealing rock guitar near the game's conclusion.
I remember how I used to hate the stupid blockers for interrupting the awesome music in the final levels.

Wow! I helped adapt these tracks way back when! The main composer's name is Guy Whitmore, but I adapted a lot of the progressions and loop variations. Awesome someone liked the tracks enough to post them, and I didn't realize this track had been included in a book.

I played this game so much as a kid, just because of the music. The gameplay was very annoying and unfair on higher difficulties, but the music made it all worth it. Especially the ending to Gravity Ride. I waited eagerly for almost a decade just for these tracks surface on the internet.
I am also looking to acquire longer versions of these songs with more of the loop variations. But I will probably never find them.

I do have a copy of the original Microsoft Russian Square and the complete Windows XP Plus! will work very well on Windows 7, 8, 8.1 as well as Windows 10! I installed it on Windows 10 and it works great!

i think microsoft have started hosting all their old Plus! games for free download.... depends where you look... a friend of mine reccomended trying steam but it's up to you
