I found out about 4/73 from my father who served in 4 reg, I'm starting in the infantry very soon and hope to get on the patrols course at some point in my career, been loving the podcasts they are really informative about the military, operations and this specialist unit as well as being enjoyable to listen to.
Hi Charlie - thanks for listening and taking the time to comment. Best of luck with your Army career and go for the Patrol's course too. You wont look back! Pls spread the word.
Stumbled across this podcast in doing a bit of research about 4/73 seeing what they are about, currently serving and finding my current career path becoming a bit stagnant and not really challenging and become less and less field oriented, it's great to hear from someone serving in the battery what they are about and what they do and if it's mostly exercise and field, op heavy that really interests me. Thanks for the insight.
Great podcast as always! I've got my AOSB in November and these pods are a really insightful source that has helped me prepare. Lots of good information, not just about the battery but also recent deployments and some of the internal politics/debates regarding the army as a whole.
currently 16 and live very near 12th regiment RA. Waiting to go to the acesment center and planning on doing what you did and support 16th air assult brigade

Excellent as ever
Thanks for supporting the podcast.
Are there any similar units in NATO?
Not sure actually. 4/73 has some wide ranging skills that probably sit under the umbrella of several organisations in other Armies.
Mab?
Do you know at which point in the point this is discussed?
