INSIDE LOOK Milwaukee M12 FUEL Right Angle Impact Disassembly and More Testing

- We do additional testing on the M12 Right Angle Impact and we take it apart to see what's on the inside. All metal gearing gives us the impression that this right angle impact will live at least a few years in its hard-knock life.

This Milwaukee right angle impact wrench is nothing new to this channel. We actually reviewed this M12 impact wrench a few weeks prior. You can check out the review below. This is an impressively powerful impact to be 12V and to be so compact in depth.

*Good **MyBest.Tools** value compaired❣🤪😀🤪😊 to other brands*
Loved how you break everything so everyone can follow exactly what doing and how you going about it. Sometimes, the detail "DO" matter!
I just bought into the M18 platform, so, I'm gonna put this on my wish list! Thanks for the video!
I appreciate that! I try to hard to please, but I don't always succeed.😉. I think you'll be happy to be on the M18 platform, there's not much they don't have. Thanks for watching and commenting.
This is M12.
Hi Tim, very impressive tear down you have excellent power tool skills and that ridgid is sharp for a tiny tool, very impressive video ty, Bob,
Many thanks for the kind words and thanks for watching.
Very nice review! Well explained, keep up with the nice work, it is really helpful. 😁👌
Thank you very much. We appreciate your viewership. Also, thanks for commenting.
I really wanna get this machine. I tried doing a brake job the other day and couldn’t fit my impact gun in a tight space.
Thanks for the nice review!
My pleasure! I really appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment as well.
Man I'm glad I bought 2x6.0 batteries with mine
So it is an angle grinder driven impact, that’s pretty smart.
I guess kinda sorta. :) Thanks for watching.
Marginal increase in battery power = limited increase in power. Testing 6.0ah vs the 2.0ah would have given the best results regarding a difference in output.
Exactly this is the test I wanted to see. I know for my stubby M12 3/8 impact it makes a big difference having the 6.0 in vs the 2.0.
@@whormigaproductions3662 the m12 right angle is trash. The kobalt 24v is a much better tool.
@@MothManLives Probably is I just don't want to have 5 different batteries and chargers.
@@whormigaproductions3662 yeah, I thought that when I sold my kobalt collection... Now I have adapters for other brands and just use Milwaukee batteries on everything.
I think u would have seen a gain with the 4ah. The 3ah uses the same weak cells as the 1.5ah. Even though going from the 2 to the 3 is a increase.....those cells are not the best. I could wrong , however I notice a decent increase by using the 4ah over the 2ah. Idk , maybe it's the placebo effect....who knows. Great video.
We'll do some more testing soon. Thanks for watching.
@@Shoptoolreviews thanks for responding. You guys certainly have one of the most consistent testing procedures across the board. Looking forward to whatever the next test is ....thanks as I do know it takes a lot time and effort to make these vids
I like the process and testing method. Nice to see the battery comparison included.
Glad you liked it! We really appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment.
I dont own this impact, but I do own the stubby and it loves the 6AH
Yeah, the 6Ah battery seems to liven that stubby up a little. The best I see using these together is that the power doesn't drop off. Once the battery on a 2 or 3Ah batteries hit 2-bars, the power is noticeably different. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@Shoptoolreviews agreed, and your welcome great content 👍
If your going to use an XC battery why not use a 4 or 6Ah battery? Thank you for showing the guts of tool looks very well built, great review, thx...
We'll use a 4 and 6.0 battery in some upcoming videos. Thanks for watching.
What torque wrench was used in the video?
Proto 1/2" Electronic Torque Wrench. It's an awesome tool and we use it all the time. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Y'all got a review on that rigid?
You mean the little 12V palm driver we used to take the Milwaukee apart? Yes, we do. Thanks for watching.
What us that tool you took the milwaukee apart with?
Ridgid R8224K Palm Impact Screwdriver. It's very handy for small and tight-space projects. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Has anyone had any issue with this tool. Found mine after impacting, the motor runs slightly slower with a different note. Change direction and you get one jerk and its back to normal. Also noticed when doing it you can manually grab the socket and turn it and it will click into place. Looking at this video it seems the anvil is stuck between the two grooves when the spring compressed and I release the trigger. Anyone else seen this?normal?
We have not heard or seen this. From what you are experiencing, it seems like your assumptions are on track. I would definitely have Milwaukee take a look at this, or maybe just try to get the unit replaced. I'm sure that Milwaukee will want to see this. Let us know what you find.
Thanks for your reply. I only noticed after i pressed the trigger after using and noticing it sounded odd, now I noticed it does this i find myself constantly checking to see if its done it or not. Ive connected milwaukee uk who have given me an email for their technical department but not reply yet. Also ask milwaukee north America as this model has been out over with you guys longer than it has here but they where not interested and said they help North America customers only
I’m curious what he does in a spare time with that scale
Hi is this 2565 milwaukee only generation or is there a newer version.
only one version
I wish I used this tool more. Head size too big and not enough power when you need it. Still use it here and there..the long neck is the tool to have, keep a 6ah on its amazing.
Thanks for sharing. Where do you find that it's not enough power? What type of fasteners? Thanks again for watching and commenting.
Just bought it a couple days ago, I want to use it for truck caliper bracket bolts, but won't even spin them, very disappointed in milwaukee and using 3 amp hr bat too. Got dome 5 Amp hr Batts coming in, maybe that will change it🤷🏽♂️
Dude, its a 12V tool, its amazing the power this little 12v tool has..
@@etomlinson11 a lot of truck caliper bolts (mostly Chevy) use an incredibly strong thread lock compound. I usually use a breaker bar on those. Once you break that bond the 90 should be able to drive it off. If you were to check it with a torque wrench I’m sure it would far exceed this tools rating.
Where did you get that little RIDGID Impact from

Greetings I need your guidance Do you have the accessories for this tool? I can't find it. Can you please guide me? I am from Iran, my name is Omid

Fuel right angel impact
How would you compare this to the Kobalt? I’m in both platforms, but not sure which one to purchase.
We will have to put these head-to-head very soon. The Kobalt will beat the M12 if the M12 is only using a 2.0Ah battery. However, I think the M12 may over-power the Kobalt when the M12 is fitted with a 4.0 or 6.0Ah battery. Just our thoughts. We'll see very soon. Thanks for watching.
I bought it in 3/8” and 1/2” anvil.
Can't got wrong with that. Very handy tools. Thanks for watching.
dont get your hand dirty... fisherman gordon. is that torque wrench made to go in reverse ccw? a precision instruments is a CW and CCW for BUDD nuts
Thanks, I'm trying to protect my manicure.😂 Yes, this torque wrench is certified/calibrated for CW and CCW. It's Proto 1/2" 250-ft-lb electronic torque wrench. Thanks for watching.
250 ft lbs just isn't enough for me to buy this when my M12 stubby also does that. I'm waiting for gen2.
👍👍
Thanks for the thumbs up. Thank you for taking the time to watch and to comment.
I hope all countries can join

Why not try a 6.0?
Should try the 6 amp battery
It makes a difference in lengthening the runtime, but it doesn't "add" a lot of power to the peak. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Shop Tool Reviews cheers for reply mate

6.0 battery will make a huge difference
Correct, the 4.0 and 6.0 make this tool come alive. Thanks for watching.
what is that ridgid tool thats so small
That's a palm impact driver that they don't make anymore. I love this tool, and I hope it never breaks. Thanks for watching.
@@Shoptoolreviews hell yeah that size is amazing and no thank you I’m switching from my 18 v sub compact to the 12 v Milwaukee for a better platform and line up
The 95ft lb flier should have been scrutinized.. seems like it was on the lower power setting or something. If you had a 120ft lb number in it's place there would have been an improvement in power. Inconclusive at best
Hey man Kobalt has a comparable tool in their lineup. Would you mind doing a comparison between these two, and a build quality comparison as well.
That's the plan very soon. Thanks for watching.
Not really comparable the Kobalt is 24 volt and the Milwaukee 12 volts the Kobalt is twice the voltage.
@@giovanysantiago5892 by comparable I meant in function and purpose.
Please stop making me want to buy more tools.
We promise to stop for at least another day. :) Thanks for watching and commenting.
I guess it’s obvious that you put oil on the bolts.
ikr?

Thank you very much.
Bro you took it apart with a ridged lol how dare you lol
ATG suggests to get ATG/Lowe's for less plus a free battery for $140.00. Then change the anvil for more power.
ATG Gold uses graphene battery which is better than Dewalt, Kobalt & Milwaukee.
No matter what these Chinese tools are really nice to have & use.
Again, ATG is helping many during the COVID-19 crises, to provide one free battery when you want a Kobalt.
Nevertheless, ATG & I have tested them and the weakest links:
< O ring
< Grease spilling out
< C clip
< Heavy for woman & child users
< PCB on Milwaukee
< Non-user anvil changeable
< Hungry for battery (2Ah is useless so don't throw money out for $300)
< Both get extreme hot after 30 bolts
< Using 4Ah or higher get very heavy for all
Save your money if you are making less than $87k/yr by using shop air impact tools.
Since shops forced you to use your own tools to make money for them, why throw out your money to get these?
angelisone, because Milwaukee manufactures awesome tools and batteries. In addition, they have great customer service @ 1-800-sawdust.
They’re Milwaukee factories in China, of which they have plans to transition many back to the States. Their blades and bits are manufactured mainly in the US.
Then there is the M12/M18 platforms, of which no other tool company has the depth and breadth of product. They are always inventing, investing heavily into R&D. That’s why we have this new M12 right angle impact, M12 23 gauge brad nailer, etc... Every year new and cool products, that are well built and quality manufactured. That’s why....
@@martylucas8557 ATG is in Cat, Kobalt, IR, Dewalt, SnapOn & Milwaukee.
Benefits on Kobalt is supported by ATG/Lowes, which are many around.
Which is not to say many from other Chinese tools makers.
Only the names and scammed wording are Made-In-America be greedy USA's CEO & CFOs.
Be careful where you get your information (misinformation) from. It sounds like you're listening to the lies of the media. While there are some greedy American companies, most American companies are employed with hard-working American workers, with hard-working American CEO's leading them. No other economy would be where they are today without the USA economy and people.
@@angelisone o geez another commie. kobalt is junk. IR use to be good up until the 90s snap-on is overpriced rebranded. got off the train hun this is your stop
@@Shoptoolreviews yes angelisone is nutty. just another....nevermind.
Where the removal test? Removing nuts using more power and eats batteries!

Thanks for watching.
Wow. These bots are still all over RUclips.
We're reporting them and removed them. Thanks for watching.
Brynnon, what bots?
Marty Lucas there are a lot of bot comments going around RUclips lately. I have noticed them a lot on smaller tool review type channels and they are all promoting some sort of pornographic material and you can tell by just looking at the channels profile picture. There’s as one here earlier today in the comment section that I noticed but the channel owner removed the comment.
Using ridgid trash tool to open it
10:39 and 12:02 doesn’t look legit 🤷♂️
