My how times have changed. Penalties for touching, bumping and spinning someone. Now it's encouraged and no penalties. Hundreds of thousands of dollars blown in an accident from 2 clowns getting pissis and wrecking the field, and it's all OK. TV ratings. Oh yeah, instead of good racing like this, it's "entertainment" now. My bad. My guess the All Star Race will be a demolition derby at N.Wilks next year.
These Wilkesboro races were always great. Miss this track and this era so much 😔
Man you cant beat them old T-birds on looks. Some of the prettiest cars ever made
i'm totally agree, also the buick Regal GMX i believe, but the Chevy T bird Or Aero was fantastqiue and them paint schemes was so georgous
@@nascarvintage17I️ agree totally with the race car. Most of the street cars were horrible.
Brilliant stuff. Continuing my viewing of the '88 season. Thanks Smifftv 👍
The one year bill Elliott had his shit together on short tracks equals a championship
1:56:35 the payback for that comes one year later in the closing laps of this same race, and may have cost Earnhardt the 89 championship.
The thing that really cost Dale the title in ‘89 was finishing last the week before at Charlotte.
Couldnt have happened to a more deserving driver.
Oh the memories, thanks my friend!
