I'm trying to figure out how to attach my peaches to drywall walls, we're they hanger bolts to used, I'm struggling to get them but I literally have no skills , I just bought a mither saw to make toys, but after a couple of cuts I'm ready to build the world for my bird, I'm just lacking the skills, but I do have RUclips videos, a want to learn so I'll do it , taught myself to weld during lockdown and got my dream bird at the start , I hand raised him and trained him to fly free outdoors and he loves it, mind he caught mites god knows when flying keeps the numbers down so I didn't figure it ou till there was a couple of bad storms last week and he wasn't out to fly so the might x where I was able to notice them so I call my veterinarian who emailed the prescription to a more local vet and they got him sorted fast but he plucked a lot of his breast feathers out which I am heartbroken over the grow back now he's not itchy he's only 21 in the middle of a big mould there's a few short of him flying on my account if you're interested in macaw parrot in free flight it's a very special site to see
There are anchor screws that you can get. It's basically something you can put in the wall and then screw the perch into. If you go to your local hardware store and show them what you want to do they will get you everything you need. Mites are terrible. You have to treat the bird and your house. My birds do not go outside because hawks and eagles here will eat them. Free flight McCaws are beautiful to see. I have seen them at Disney in Florida. I have watched countless hours of them also. I really want a Hyacinth McCaw. Maybe some day. Feathers do grow back unless they pick too deep. Our African Grey has a bald chest. The feathers will never grow back because she damaged her skin when she plucked.
Thank you for this, I'm getting other bird soon but I have no idea what I did with my perches, this was a big help. Thanks!!
