    I LOVE LINNIES. From all the parakeets I've had they're the funniest, sweetest, most easy-going amazing companions

      I agree, it’s a shame they aren’t more popular

    BYW, I forgot to mention that I think the Linnies are naturally more affectionate.

    Aww I love the look of the linnies but the pooping put me off a little. They look really sweet 🥰

      The do - but I don’t think it’s so bad. Of course, I clean Macaw-sized poops, so it’s all relative!

    My one parrotlet Baloo loves bananas. He does not get them regular, only as a rare treat because of the sugar content. If I can get green ones I will give them both some.

      I like you! And your Parrotlets sound well-cared for. Do you find them to be soft? (Soft feathers) My daughter says our Parrotlets have very soft feathers and I’m thinking it may be the positive outcome of a good diet.

    My hand fed (I fed him) sees me like a bird. You could say non hand fed also see you as a bird but from my own (in)experience😂 it’s more like a birdman than a bird. They both still flock call me tho. the vet told me to feed him every 2hrs on daylight and 1-2at night for 7days (bc formula goes through his bowel faster and his not fully efficient organs) and I barely made it no hand feeding like this ever again for me. I dont train my birbs tricks so idk if it’s easier to train a hand fed one or not.(imo maybe but my hand fed girl is way too spoiled she it’d be hard to train 😂😂😂)

      Yes, hand-feeding is a chore! Non-stop too - but you did it, congrats! Yes, when they are hand-fed they definitely create a stronger bond. Sounds like you have great birds!

    Love the green linnies and the yellows also what mutation parrotlet was the first one you zoomed in on? I'm sure I'll end up with some linnies one day lol they remind me of kakarikis which I love they are such silly comical birds ashame about the short life spans they usually have though

    • @ParrotBliss
      @ParrotBliss  3 года назад +3

      Hi Nick, I don’t know the different names on the yellow factors - I like the yellows: some of mine are lime-yellow, butter-yellow.
      The advantage to the shorter life span is that you don’t have to feel like you are committing for life!!! But, I hear you!

    Are Linnies as active as Parrotlets?
    Both species are adorable! Thank you for the comparison video. 🌻🌻🌻

    • @ParrotBliss
      @ParrotBliss  3 года назад +5

      Thank you for watching! Actually, I would say that the Parrotlets are more active. I forgot to mention in the video, the Linnie’s are funny. They like to hide behind pillows. So when I’m with them on my couch, they disappear behind the pillows!

      @@ParrotBliss ...How cute (the Linnie's hiding 😁). Thanks for your answer, helps me consider, although I'm still a year or so away from being in a position to be a parrot-Mama again. I wil. never stop learning, never stop being excited by every feathered-flock video I can watch. I have a few bird books I go through often too (almost daily!)
      My favorite parrots are still the Brotogeris (the grey-cheek and canary-winged top 2), followed by the Poichephalus....I guess I really love the African parrots. I also love the Linnie's, the cocktails, the grass parakeets...LOL! Never mind, the list gets too long (as you demonstrate in actuality!!)
      Have you seen the Gang-Gang Cockatoo?? I just love it's uniqueness! But, no...my little Min-Pin dog would probably never forgive me if I brought home a cockatoo, LOL!! She grew up with a Red-Bellied parrot and we all 3 traveled everywhere together. But, red-bellies are smaller and not crazy-loud with huge biting beaks!
      I apologize for writing so much...am sharing back!! 😀
      Flock blessings...🌻🌻🌻

      @@eliza-pow6189 I love reading about everyone’s experiences with parents! So I’m glad your post was long! I agree, the African parrots make great companions. They generally have great personalities, are calm and not loud. No, very limited experience with cockatoos unfortunately.

    How do you get so many Parrotlets to get along in the one cage?

    • @ParrotBliss
      @ParrotBliss  3 месяца назад

      Watching carefully, more than one food station (several for pellets and parakeet seeds, when I put seeds in) plenty of perches and fresh foods. No fruit. :) I love having Parrotlet aviaries!

    Just a feedback.... Please don't drag your. Videos to make impromptu discussions. If you prepare and summarize what you speak in 10 mins can be told in 2 mins I feel time wasted when I watch your videos. Its important to take this positively because you are doing a great job but just that in busy life it becomes difficult to catch up

      I understand, thanks for the feedback. Nothing is straightforward- and I try to explain things so people get a broader understanding. When I have been more direct and succinct, I feel I miss important side details...
