1st time bird owner here who lives in a apartment and got a Linnie 4 weeks ago. I can confirm they are lovely little pets who aren't very noisy and enjoy spending time with you
Linnies are so cute. I can’t believe they aren’t more popular. I think all birds are messy. I tell people to be prepared to sweep and vacuum multiple times a day. You’ll also have to give fresh clean water in a clean bowl throughout the day. It’s all worth it to me.
My current linnie is 11.5 years old and I am lucky to still have her. She has arthritis in her feet so I have had to arrange her cage and perches for a disabled bird. She is my best friend and I dread the day that she passes away. I have checked and there are very few linnies available here in the US. And they are very expensive. At least $500.
How great that you are adjusting her cage for her. I have a few birds whose cages are adjusted as well. What state do you live in? Yes, Linnie’s are rare and expensive. I currently have babies available, but I am in Florida. I think linnies are just wonderful birds, I can understand why she is your best friend.
Love your linnie! I have a question: Do they poop as often as budgies? Ours poop about every 7-10 minutes? Please can you tell me exactly how you cope with the poop? What is the best way? Can you advise? Lord willing, I want to buy a linnie for my disabled adult son, but I wonder how best he could manage the poop, without help, if he is alone to deal with it himself - in future?
@@ParrotBlissThanks so much! We love our budgies but my son who’s disabled and autistic adore them but he longs to stroke & they tell him off! Ours can communicate very well! One nipped (he doesn’t bite) him to remind him: no no no no fingers, mate! If only we have a third to hang out with him & who could let him stroke? So, thanks! Our 21-year old son is very loving & caring but intellectually disabled. Thanks so much! PS Edit: we are not from the States; we live in Greater London, United Kingdom. :)
Hi, I want to get a bird in the future and I'm just wondering if you have any bird breed recommendations for me as I have a hearing sensitivity. I can't deal with high pitched screeching or squawking- but I've always loved birds and I'm wracking my brain trying to find a breed that will be alright with that one sensitivity.. The "Linnie" Seems to be the first breed I've seen/heard that's not super loud pitched, just from watching your video's! Anyways, these video's are amazing and Informative, Thank you for making them! You have such gorgeous birds! ^^
Your sensitivity does pose a challenge. Try seeing if some smaller birds, like Parrotlets or Linnies- or Budgies and Cockatiesl work for you. Otherwise, it's tought. They are notorious for their sqwack, which is often a high pitch.

Thank you for posting- congratulations on your Linnie! They are so terrific!
hey, can they be left alone? and are they messy too and hard to potty train?
My Linnie is literally the sweetest bird I have ever handled. So underrated!
Yeap!

Such good points- especially the water dish!

Cute bird
Thanks Yesid 😀
I love linnies. If I ever own a bird, I would want one.
Yes, they are exceptional in my opinion. They are just the sweetest and most friendly birds!
Great video as usual...keep them coming 👏
Thanks Tammy!
According to Lazarus they “sound like video games” and video games are cool. Lol.
Perfect description! Say hi for me!
@@ParrotBliss I let him know. ❤️. Pumpkin is adorable btw.

Any kind of bird. It happens. Your linnie is pretty and kind of did almost look stuffed till it moved.
Yes, he was so quiet and not moving!
I hear dishes in the background. Is Mom cooking parrots? What's a good side dish?
Oh no! Cooking for the parrots 🦜, maybe 🤔
We need more linnie videos❤
Just did a short today! ruclips.net/user/shortsxIm0h9CNa9Q?feature=share
Any specific questions or topics?
Going to places without a harness or a tether!😂👏
It’s wonderful when they can!!

@@ParrotBliss Okay, Thank you! This is a big help, I appreciate it!! ^^
Hi from Sweden and thanks for great videos! Is your linnie clipped so that she can join you outside?
Yes, it has taken a long time for his flight feathers to grow out. They are just starting to come.
So cute. I've read that Linnies lose their tameness over the years and all eventually go wild. Is this a myth?
I can’t say, haven’t had them that long, but I don’t believe so.
Honestly, they are boring. 😂 I’m sorry
That's the beauty of parrots, there is probably a different species you like better :)
