Great reaction again :) just a heads up: the Dumbledore actor for these first 2 movies, Richard Harris, died after this movie was made. He is replaced by Michael Gambon for the rest of the films
Glad you swapped the mic out! I don’t like complain about equipment quality because sometimes it takes a bit to upgrade, but the echo was the worst part of your first reaction. Watching you discover a thing that brings my family together every Christmas is delightful and I’m really enjoying your reactions regardless of equipment 😊👍 Edit: the movies will probably feel progressively better because the books they’re based on grow with the audience. So the first movie is the most childlike/child oriented, and the later works build on the lore of their predecessors while exploring increasingly adult content as appropriate for the age of the book audience. One of the reasons so many people love this series so much is because it grew up with them.
Such a big improvement adding the movie clips and upping the sound from your first HP video to this one. Glad I decided to give your next video a try. Great job!
He only got that phobia because his twin brothers turned his teddy bear into a big spider and basically scared little Ron sh*tless to the point he's super afraid of spiders.
Keep in mind in future movies that the screenwriter did Ron dirty. Gave a lot of his best lines and stuff to Hermione. He also dulled Ginny Weasley down tremendously. That's why I always advise people to read the books or listen to the audiobooks after watching the movies fir the first time.
Funny thing is the Polyjuice Potion will have different aspect and texture depending on who have the last ingredient (the hair), if it is from a nice person, it will look and taste much better... Malfoy is not really angry, he's just from a very arrogant fallen noble family still hanging on their old beliefs and traditions... SOmething about Lockhart being held at wandpoint by a twelve yo wizard with a broken wand is absolutely hilarious !
that clip around 7:20 made me actually burst out laughing.. reality shows are so unintentionally hilarious I shoulda waited, because the Julia Roberts one did too.. you are hilarious lol
The reason for hiring Lockhart was Dumbledores plan to let him expose himself as he would Crack in a school like Hogwarts, the most prestigious school with the most history out of any in the world. And it was also a practical joke on Dumbledor's part too. He's a witty old man of 115. Haha.
I remember when I first watched Chamber of Secrets after watching Philosopher's Stone. My first thought was: "Damn, my boy's voice went through some major puberty in a year!" And the fact this movie, not only within the story, but also in real-life, was filmed less than a year after the first one blows my mind as how quickly Radcliffe grew. Like, how his voice changed in less than a year is mind-blowing!
@@mahoganyreacts And starting from the fourth movie going foward, they film each movie within a two-year gap, so expect them to grow even more than you originally thought as you watch the remainder movies.

tbh even in the first film you can tell that his voice (and even face) is changing during some scenes! 😯
i don't think it's made clear in the movies, but according to the books, the Dursleys are Harry's only blood relatives, and staying with them affords him a certain amount of protection until he comes of age. (If you don't mind watching older films, I highly recommend the 1946 British fantasy 'A Matter of Life and Death' with David Niven and Kim Hunter. it's American title is 'Stairway to Heaven' for reasons that will become clear when you watch it.)
Your reaction was great! Really enjoyed it. Just FYI, 26:28 if you're wondering how did Ginny write messages on the wall with blood, well she basically killed Hagrid's roosters under the possession of Tom Riddle and wrote it with their blood. The next day when she woke up she was covered in feathers and had no memory of what happened last night. Needless to say this experience really traumatized her, especially in the books when she started panicking and crying after being saved by Harry. Man, Ginny is really downplayed in the films, even though she has some good moments in the future. But she will become a beautiful, fearless and independent woman either way. She's my favorite if you can't tell
I love what I've seen so far, and to limit the chance of spoilers I won't say much else besides I'm excited for your next reaction to my fave of the Harry Potter films

The movies only get better from here. The first two are necessary for the plot and will come back to play in the future, but the story is about to grow in both scope and maturity.
This movie is the first sight that the HP universe isn't all goodie-goodie and kids stuff. They actually have a whole complex situation with supremacy views over Muggle-born wizards. I know Hermione explained, but "Mudblood" is basically the Wizarding World's version of the "N-word". Best way to describe it, really
I suggest for the next Franchise either Star Wars or The Lord of The Rings. Unless you choose to do a rated R franchise because then it would have to be John Wick.
Mudblood is the equivalent to the N word. It’s a very disgusting name to call someone. They don’t explain it well in the movie but in the books, you end up feeling so uncomfortable reading it, let along saying it out loud with the connotation. Sorry for the super months late comments but I just found your channel and am truly enjoying your reactions. I really hope you do Lord Of The Rings (extended versions) and The Hunger Games if you haven’t seen those yet. Also, for the audiences fun, the Twilight saga is hilarious... as long as you go into it assuming it’s a comedy/parody and are ready to roast it :) i love twilight for the nostalgia but as an adult i can see how toxic the relationships are etc. but i seriously love first time reactors to these series.
