@@bravado2809 yeah he was supposed to say something else but forgot his lines and just in place said "i didn't know you could read" they all stayed in character very well and it just fit his character so they kept it😅
Salazar Slytherin’s hatred of Muggles may come from a genuine place. Hogwarts was founded 1,000 years ago during the Dark Ages. In that time, people who were accused of practicing magic were relentlessly hunted and often publicly burned to death. Salazar was likely hunted all his life for his power and grew to distrust sorcerers born to muggers or half-blood families because in his mind they hadn’t suffered the way others like him had
Indeed it was time of war and punishment for pure bloods so Salazar basically built chamber of secrets in hope that pure bloods could find a safe place in time of an attack and Basilik might help if intruders came in to attack. In no way he would’ve thought that a time would come when muggles would forget about magical world like myth.
Actually, in the books Ron is the GOAT. It's just in the movies, the screenwriter did him dirty by making him more of goofball/comic relief. In the books he was much more useful, and knowledgeable. Apparently, the screenwriter preferred Hermione over Ron, and highlighted her usefulness rather than his. Even gave her some of his lines. They even did Ginny dirty like that, too. She was a lot more useful in the books, and had a lot more lines.
I’m actually not opposed to Ron being the goofball of the group, but I do agree with you about Ginny, the movies did her dirty. I much prefer her in the books
he's also really smart if only not book smart, he has inside knowledge of the wizard society and they establish that he's a great strategist and a insane good chess player
That’s not doing him dirty.. they literally wouldn’t of been able to do a movie with him being as complex. The movies don’t just pretend the books don’t exist. If you already know Ron is great. Why should some goofy scenes in a movie automatically make him goofy.. the books literally still exist and explain him perfectly.
Fun fact hermione (emma watson) is actually revealed that she has a major crush on draco malfoy (tom felton) in real life but she got rejected lol when she confessed tom said that he only looked at her as a little sister. But they’re really close even until now.
I like the fan theory that it was actually Draco that let Hermione know about the basilisk and she figure out the pipes from there because if you know anything about book readers and lovers, they would never rip a page out of a book, especially not Hermione she treasures her books she loves them, their knowledge, but in the bookstore. And they were all watching Gilderoy Draco rip one page out of a book and stuffed in his pocket because he knew what his dad was going to do. Also in the books there’s a little line about how dobby knows all about Harry Potter, but how would dobby know anything about Harry Potter if Draco wasn’t talking about him constantly 😂😅
he's also plays in Peter Pan as Wendy's dad and captain hook which is probably one of my favorite adaptations of peter pan (alongside the one with robin williams: Hook)
Fun fact they had to shoot fang (the dog) running away in fear a couple of times those hounds are very protective and when the. Spider moved forward he would jump in front of harry to guard him
I feel the first two movies of harry potter was like the kids were young and innocent. I feel from third movie onwards the innocence that is there in first two movies is no longer there
So, a couple of fun and interesting facts about this movie, the actor who plays the Gilderoy Lockhart is the Director for the first Thor movie, the dog that plays fang had to be taken off of set temporary, because she yes, she was a female dog, kept on attacking the animatronic spider, whenever it will go near Harry or Ron, and the actress that plays moaning Myrtle was in her late 30s when she was cast. The guard, who asked them what did they think they were doing when they ran into the barrier, was the same guard Harry asked for help in the first movie.
I wanted to comment something cool, but I have nothing to say that hasn't already been said, so thanks for the reaction!! I'm hype to see u guys watch the entire movies series 😤💯👌🏾
the fact that there's a spell that explicitly exists to fix glasses is so funny like what the fuck lmao. you would think it would be like 'CURES BLINDNESS' but no, it fixes your glasses. that's like, the most budget magic ever 😭😭
really it repairs any circular "glassed" object (doesn't necessarily have to be glassed anything that can shatter yk) bc oculus is a round and/or eye-like shaped design and repairo means to repair, so it can be used to repair any kind of dome-like fixtures like a telescope, circular windows, or in this case: Harry's circular glasses
Point of fact: The phrase Abracadabra was around and used by stage magicians for decades before Rowling wrote Harry Potter. She adapted the phrase to Avada Cadavra when she wrote her books. However you don't hear it used until the 4th movie.
Loved your reaction! Can't wait for the next movie. The Prisoner of Azkaban is really good but I would have to say that I prefer the Goblet of Fire. The movie starts to get dark in the Prisoner of Azkaban but it isn't until Goblet of Fire where the movies take a turn and become more darker and mature. I can't wait for you guys to react to the rest of the movies, they are probably one of my favorite franchises.
In the Potterverse, "abracadabra" is a garbled memory that still exists in Muggle culture, along with the idea of broomsticks, cauldrons and so on. We no longer believe magic is real because it has been underground for hundreds of years. In real life, "Avada Kedavra" is the etymology of the modern word "abracadabra". It's an ancient Arabic curse meaning "Let the things be destroyed."
Just found your channel and subbed for your Harry Potter reactions! I saw the last movie you dropped was 9 months ago, I hope the next is not THAT long away lmao 🙏🏻🤓
Your primary Hogwarts house is based on your motivations and values - Harry, Ron, and Hermione are Gryffindor Primaries. Your secondary Hogwarts house is based on your methods - Harry is a Slytherin Secondary, Ron is a Hufflepuff Secondary, and Hermione is a Ravenclaw Secondary.
I hate how Vernon and Petunia are so rigid in their beliefs. They’re not only abusing Harry with the lack of care, but Dudley as well with the abundance. No boundaries can be just as bad as to many.
You know it's amazing watching someone react to a movie you saw long ago and miss the things you missed to, though looking back it seems obvious now, but at least you don't feel like a fool. I'm talking about the Diary being involved in the chamber being opened. Did anyone realize it or suspected it before the reveal?
First time I saw the movie, I suspected something about the diary, it’s in a magic world so I was sure there was something about it and anything’s possible. But the whole story was a shock to me, especially when I found out the truth about Tom Riddle
It's been so long since my first watch, but if I remember correctly I was shook when Tom Riddle turned out to be the villain. Like lowkey thought I was misunderstanding the movie plot entirely cause I thought he had to be a good guy.
Also the guy that played loughheart was married to the divination teacher we meet in the next film. He was also the writer and director of Belfast which was based on his life as a child 😊 (recommend watching Belfast).
After this movie, I always wished Harry moved in with the Weasleys. Sure he was safe with the Dursleys but he was loved by the Weasleys. They were more family to him than his own!
What bugged me the most was it took five books to get an explanation to the significance and purpose of Harry going back to the Dursleys over the summer. It never made sense to me why Dumbledore never told Harry this at the end of the first book as it gave no real spoilers to anything about the prophecy?
@@patrickmcguire7896 He was a kid. Dumbledore didn’t want to overload him with all this information. He wanted him just to live the life that a kid should. Obviously that didn’t end up happening.

P.O.T.C. is definitely worth a re-watch, including 4 and 5. Will and Elizabeth return for the 5th movie as well. The 5th one stands with the first 3 for that and a couple other reasons.
