Just for a positive comment. I felt the same way where as of late I noticed I just stop noticing it for the vast majority of the day. When I do its no longer such an existential threat. And its easy to put out of mind when I do. When going to sleep using two sounds at once can help. Cricket's + rain both chaotic noise of different pitch. The ring is greatly diminished by getting lost in the chaos.

Sleeping for 9 and 10 hours seems to help ! Believe it or not. My tinnitus projection reduced . Honest. However the annoying sound is still buzzing, beeping and whooshing.
Tried MASKING NOISES by headphones. 4 hours a day. Bit of a relief. Annoyingly Noise comes back. Given up.
Doctor gave “brain blocker signal medication” didnt work, instead caused MEMORY PROBLEMS.
THREW POISON TABLETS in THE BIN thats were they belong.

My tinnitus has put me in a very dark place. 4 years and counting of nonstop bothersome ringing. I've tired everything this gentlemen mentioned. I even tried just accepting it and learning how to cope but the ringing has gotten worse in the past month. If I listen to music or sounds, the tinnitus intensifies once I take off my headset. Even if listening on low volume. Thanks for this video. 🙏

Well, at least I’ve gotten to the point a handful of times where I can turn off all sound and relax enough to fall asleep, just because I wanted to really bad and the T was low. Unfortunately, there been more times where I haven’t fallen asleep until 2,3,4,5, or 6 a.m. The insomnia has gotten pretty bad. I just roll with it and sleep in because I’m retired. Or get up and take a nap later. I also have sleep apnea so it’s a bad situation now with tinnitus too. I have all sorts of supplements and CBD but sometimes absolutely nothing helps. We’re all in this together and I hope none of you are suffering too badly.

I have had tinnitus for more than 20 years, gradually worsening. In the middle of that period I had chemotherapy for cancer, stage 4, detected late with a fair, but by no means certain prognosis. I survived but with some distressing short and long term consequences of the chemo. Beyond a shadow of doubt, my tinnitus was and is worse than all of it.

I have (had) cancer as well and got tinnitus right after my surgery for the reconstruction after double mastectomy. I am not sure if it was the anesthesia, the tube down my throat, or the anastrazole that I am taking (which can make you lose some hair and possibly ear hair). Have only had in a month and a half but it does drive me crazy sometimes…. Like cicadas or locusts. Have you tried any of the things they mentioned in this video? / Plus…. I wish you well❤

White noise doesn't work for me, but crickets or frog sounds do. I think everybody has to find his/her own sound therapy that works best for them. Not all tinnitus sufferers "hear" the same frequencies.

I cannot listen to music, even at low volumes in the car anymore. I can listen to a podcast though. I can sleep with a fan on, it drowns it out as that is very close to the sound I have which is a static tv/running water/speaker crackling. Not sure if that will help anyone else, but my husband always has a fan on and I used to hate it, but now, it is the only time I feel like I don't have my own symphony going on in my head. I believe I clench my jaw and grind my teeth and kink my neck while sitting watching tv or working on my laptop, so I have been trying to ease these things and massage my jaw and neck. It has been helping, but it stil there. I have tried the finger tapping on the back of the skull and it does strangely work sometimes. None of the 3 ENT's or GP have been any help for giving me advice on how to get better, just threw drugs at me and basically said to get used to it unless my dizziness got worse, then they could test me for menieres, but another told me I definitely didn't have menieres. I felt very unheard and uncared for, despite feeling completely alone and isolated in my own sadness.
