Working with HCMGIS Plugin in QGIS (Basemaps, Batch Converter, OpenData,Vn-2000, Spatial Processing)

HCMGIS (Ho Chi Minh City Geographic Information System) is a GIS platform that provides spatial data and tools for managing and analyzing geographic information in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
HCMGIS in QGIS have 5 applications:
1- Basemaps: Add global basemaps from Google, Carto, ESRI, OSM Stamen, etc
2- Batch Converter: Batch convert CSV to Point Shapefiles and other GIS formats (including OSM pbf, GeoPackage) in a folder and its subfolders
3- Download OpenData: Download Open Data from OSM Geofabrik, GADM, Who's On First (WOF), Microsoft Building Footprints, HCMGIS OpenData, Standford University, etc
4- Vn-2000 Projections: Lookup EPSG Code for Vn-2000/ TM3 Projection for all Provinces in Vietnam
5- Spatial Processing: Create Skeleton/Medial Axis/ Centerline for road/ river networks and similar linear structures, create Centerline in Polygons' gaps (E.g building blocks), finding closest/ farthest pair of Points, Largest Empty Circle of a Point set
Some of the datasets available in HCMGIS include:
- Administrative boundaries
- Land use
- Transportation networks
- Natural resources
- Demographics
You can also use HCMGIS tools to perform spatial analysis, such as buffering, overlaying, and querying data.
