Class 50 Thrash Through Bewdley Tunnel at over 100 decibels

With this 8 minute film its all about the sound capture, as in the tunnels there isn’t much to look at, but who cares! So get your headphones on and enjoy the thrash! 7 trips in either direction through Bewdley Tunnel on the Severn Valley Railway with 5 different Class 50’s that include; 50008 Thunderer, 50007 Hercules, 50033 Glorious, 50035 Ark Royal & 50049 Defiance… Filmed in 2018, 2019 and in 2020 at The 2nd Diesel Pioneer Day!!

Used to ride 1m42,the paddington to wolverhampton out of birmingham new street after school in the 80's,same mega thrash through the uphill tunnel,had all 50 of them,fun times,empty train all to myself,hanging out the front window all the way.

I've been through that tunnel behind the following classes:- 08, 09, 11, 14, 17, 20, 24, 25, 31, 33, 35, 37, 37/9, 40, 42, 45, 46, 47, 50, 52, 55, 56, 60, 66, 73, 73/95, 73/96 and 88.

Oh I remember when 50035 was in GWSR and did a full notch thrash in the tunnel
