Can almost taste the smell of diesel as I was there Thursday & Friday.

Nice, liked the view of the top of the locos up Erdington Bank. Managed to get some vids behind the 33 & the 20 before my back gave up, think I'm getting too old for this window hanging lark, lol

Never too old... Keep Trying... Happy if you want to share those films into my HellfireTV My Lordz group if you are happy to share? It's on Facebook if you haven't already joined. I love seeing other peoples films there sharing into a likeminded community

This run is absolutely hellfire!!!, choppers are amazing locomotives, just wondering what microphone you use for these videos since I’d like to get a similar sound as the one I use is quite poor at times

It’s a Rode Videomic Pro. Glad you enjoyed this!

Oh wow, it’s the same one ive got hah, I assume then you must edit the audio in some software because for me in really loud areas like tunnels the microphone just sounds distorted and terrible, thanks for the response anyhow and keep making these brilliant videos!

Film at the -10db setting, with the wind noise setting and a wind muffler.

Also all my videos are edited in Final Cut Pro so I can reduce or increase noise level but generally not by much. Hope this helps

I’ll definitely try out these settings then, thanks for the info, we’ve got a few galas coming up and I hope to do ELR and KWVR so I’ll try out the settings then, I just hope that if I can’t get a window close to the front then the -10db setting won’t cut out all the good engine sound, but nonetheless I’m all about the experience rather than the videos, it’s just nice to preserve the memory
