When I heard this I couldn’t stop smiling and I scratched my head remembering young Naruto with ‘Pervy Sage’ and Naruto giving the biggest smile to the closest thing of a live father figure he’s had

I reckon it's similar to how parents perceive themselves vs how they perceive their children, Naruto was our story, I think that pure Boruto likers will be the ones who've watched Boruto first, before the original series, probs a generational thing :'))
