I had a dachshund she was all nose when outside, except when she found something (usually people) to hunt. Food, play, sniffing, cuddling, hunting and being stubborn was her game. Dogs are such a precious gift.

James Taylor is just so easy to listen to and your bass is like lush green grass for bare feet. Add your stories and for a few minutes the world falls away. Then, it’s back to reality, but I’ve got tomorrow to look forward to. Stay home...stay safe...save lives!

In 1970 I was asked to play in a JR. High Garage band as a bass player. I didn't even have a bass guitar but I sang and played the sax . My mother forbid me to join it. My good friend took my place. He went on to play for local bands and pretty much made a living at it. Oh he never made the big show, just one of many of thousands that play the BBQs and Weddings and honky tonks,on occation we would cross paths at airports or shopping centers. I went onto Engineering and a wife and family. I always wonder what would have happened had I had my strings pulled another way. Suffice it to say my heart has always been on the bass line. Thanks Leland!

If there is a pandemic positive to this, it's you Lee. I would never have learned about your style, your approach as a bassist. Most above all: About you sharing yourself. I've felt like it's a meet and greet to answer thousands of questions about you personally and professionally.. I've discovered most of all that you're a nice guy!. Never would have known for real in a meet/greet (for sure anyway). Please keep posting for your sanity and ours. Thank You.

agg9900 except that’s all bullshit, stop being an apologist for the 1% that doesn’t give a shit about your existence. His house is 6500 SQ FT SUBSTANTIALLY LARGER than 99 percent of all homes, his current ride is a 2014 Cadillac, not a 2010 and it doesn’t matter much because he is driven in hired cars most of the time - a luxury few people have. He had a vacation home in the luxury town of Laguna Beach which he recently sold for many millions. HE TRAVELS IN A PRIVATE JET, the operating costs alone which are multiples of 99 percent of all incomes. His great wealth of course isn’t mainly spent on material junk as poor people would do, it’s spent on influence and power while huge amounts are hidden away in cash and other hidden caches instead of helping the economy and workers thrive. He also has charitable giving, one of his few outstanding positives. He doesn’t need or care for YOUR defense, especially when it’s inaccurate, the companies he invests in appreciate that you and your relatives have accepted flat wage rates for half a century while the wealthy received generous tax reductions. SMH.

@@DoctorShocktor I'm glad to hear that some people have a clue! Warren is an evil individual with far reaching tentacles, that is used ONLY for himself!
There is growing speculation that he played a role in Prince's demise. It was Warren's private jet that delivered him back to Minnepolis just before his death.

Walking my Cairn Terrier (25 pounds) and Anatolian Shepherd (117 pounds) together is a trip. They gotta stop every 30 feet or so and sniff, chew some grass, and pee on it. Wherever the Carn pees, the Anatolian will do the same (and then scatter it) and neither ever seems to run out of pee. It's like their morning coffee and reading the daily paper, combined. Which one is harder to get a' movin'? The Cairn. The Anatolian is easy to walk, but the terrier just digs in her feet sometimes and will not be moved.

Oh, man- I just had a mental high- over this one. Plugged in my JB Survivor Warwick bass into the Hartke A35 amp, stared at Lee on the 65” Samsung TV at 9 feet away-and went into those beautiful chords. The tempo was just perfect for that song and so in the pocket. Thank you, so very much for putting this up. I have been listening to James on his “Break Shot: My First 21 Years” on Audible as well as the RUclips video Ophah’s Master Class: James Taylor. Watching Lee and listening to James talk about his life has improved the quality of my life, thank you.

Lee- I want to thank you today for three things. First, for this delightful collection of daily videos. Like everyone else below...I'm hooked. Second, for the generosity and kindness of your tone and remarks. I first became aware of your career through your work with Christian artists like Michael W Smith, and I have been genuinely impressed with your gentle words and kind reflections on Christian artists like Smitty, Bryn Haworth, Annie Herring, Amy Grant, Vince Gill, and others. Third, because, whether you consciously realize it or not, your skills have helped these artists tell the most important story this world will ever hear. Thank you.

I think modern musicians and recording engineers don't realize how much work was involved and how skilled pre midi and precomputer recording artistes and techs has to be.
It was great to ahave you explain it and perhaps some engineers can have a channel dissecting older great records.
