I love my hardcore. Lived and breathed it back in the day. Bought some decks a few years ago and am spending thousands on buying up all the vinyl that was the soundtrack of my youth. But would I want to go to a ‘reunion’ rave with a load of 50 year olds? Not even taking in to account just the thought of doing a pill at my age makes me wanna throw up, I’d rather leave it all down to the romantic notion of nostalgic memories. Better left in 92 I reckon! But in saying that, Hardcore Will Never Die!
wow, what an immense blast from the past! Lucky the footage was filmed - merci buckets Chris! Unfortunately I lived in Stoke, I never made it down that way once, which is a great regret of mine....I wasn't out raving until '94 anyway! But on reflection, I've always loved 1992 for Hardcore/Jungle the most (I was only turning 16 that October..), I think it was a year that bridged the gap from what had come in the early years, the Housey/Belgian Technoy template to the Jungle sound of the future to come.....tracks like Dub War and Terminator etc really stood out, Nookie, The Good 2 Bad & Hugly, Dave Charlesworth etc; labels like 3rd Party, Ibiza, Daddy Armshouse, After Dark Recordings - the big 'dons' like Reinforced, Moving Shadow, Suburban Base and Basement took precedence in a scene rife with bedroom producers and unknown white labels! It was just an amazing time, amazing movement with so much excitement generated from week to week. Cheers for sharing this, I will have some brekkie (live in Australia now, WA...) and come back and get stuck into 2 hours worth of nostalgic memories!! Woooooooooo :D
Amazing. Three weeks after this event, I went to Orange in Camden aged 17. Changed my life 😎
Fantastic, been looking for years for footage of camden new years into 93. Never forgot dubwar at 12! Hardcore will never die!
I was there, seeing in 93 from 92. Got the fright bus home.
Me too, still remember it seeing those old scenes. 1988 - 1993 was amazing!
@@Paul-if9hv definitely the best era for tunes, my favourite probably 1991

Just brilliant. They don't know what they missed....
Bring on the reunion.
Yeah and those trips to South Mimms afterwards, normally being chased by the police! Haha
