Around Zarcero the climate is fresh, it's known for dairy production, lots of vegetables grow in that climate very well. Goes up to 1800m above sea level, check out the places between Zarcero and downhill direction Naranjo or San Ramon.

At 1,700M elevation, what it the temperature like? Most people come to CR for beaches or jungle.
Its true, lots of people come and start at the cost lines, after some years they find out that it's is very expensive to live at the beaches, and some of them can't handle the heat every day year around. At 1700m elevation in Zarcero the climate is around 20-25 Celcius during the daytime, at night it could drop to 12-16 Celcius. In Costa Rica you can select the temperature you want live in changing the altitude where you would like to stay depending what you like best. Each 100-200m elevation it's a little bit different.
