This song makes me smile when i don't feel that good! Some times, i even doubt God. When i was about a week old, i had a brain tumor and i had to stay in the hospital for awhile... like about a month, and my parents were angry with God! But a few weeks later the doctor said there was a cure! And before we knew it, i was at home in my own room again! God lifted me up when i was weak and i felt his arms rapping around me and his love carrying me! I LOVE YOU GOD!!!!!

Its been 5 years now I've had my ups n downs in life but I always get lifted up god never puts u through something u can't get through. God is great.
My adopted brother went through the exact same situation that old lady did. So much of his family has passed away and the only family he has lives in other states. And he kind of got angry with God for what's happened! But God has lifted him up! He really loves God now, thank the lord, the family he lost were christians.

Dude there's no reason to doubt, God is faithful and he stands by what he says. You seek him with all your heart and he will reveal himself. Those doubts come from our enemy, and we have to ignore them and turn to God because he is so much stronger and so much bigger than anything in this world. So whatever is causing you to doubt know that God's in control of everything so believe that he will see you to the end. He promised that he won't leave nor forsake you, and he stands by that promise. =D

I was trying to save a fourteen year old boy at the river last week and it killed me i couldnt get to him fast enough when the current took him. I have been crying mourning that that child cause i am a prior soldier and it should have been me and the kid live...

No offense, I love the messages in the song and video and all, but I feel like the song overall is musically too happy for the video's scenes themselves. It's like, I like filet mignon and raspberry compote each by themselves but not so much put together.
Well, when the story all ties together in the end, it changed from being despairing, furious, and heart broken, to contented and blessed. God says that he has better days in store for us. We just have to be patient.

The most important to me, is love from God, directly to each of us, no matter who we are. That is a gift so we can let go of everything else. The Afters are beautiful. How many you help with this. I'm atheist, and I will not change. But this song meant something to me, even though I don't believe in going to church or bowing down to a deity. Even if you don't believe in God, you can still lift youself up and be who you are. It doesn't matter where you spend your Sunday, or what holidays you celebrate, or how many gods you believe in. Believing in yourself is just as important as believing in your religion.

Those doubts come from our enemy, and we have to ignore them and turn to God because he is so much stronger and so much bigger than anything in this world. So whatever is causing you to doubt know that God's in control of everything so believe that he will see you to the end. He promised that he won't leave nor forsake you, and he stands by that promise. =D
Last time I heard this song I was a kid and I’m so glad I found it again I’m so happy. I’m 26 now, it’s very nostalgic reminds me of easier happier times. Life has changed a lot.

I was trying to save a fourteen year old boy at the river last week and it killed me i couldnt get to him fast enough when the current took him. I have been crying mourning that that child cause i am a prior soldier and it should have been me and the kid live...

The love of the timeless eternal almighty is the only doctrine, not limited by the perceptions or interpretations of humans. Oh my heavens, I am so moved to tears with this song. God and my girlfriend broke through with the truth of their love, and I am able to receive it.
God... why this beautiful music can't be able to be heard by all the people? It is so touching... with so deep sense... We listen to Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber everyday, forgetting about the good lessons we learn while listening to The Afters - Lift Me Up.
No offense, I love the messages in the song and video and all, but I feel like the song overall is musically too happy for the video's scenes themselves. It's like, I like filet mignon and raspberry compote each by themselves but not so much put together.
Well, when the story all ties together in the end, it changed from being despairing, furious, and heart broken, to contented and blessed. God says that he has better days in store for us. We just have to be patient.
It's songs like this that really do hit deep. I mean we all have trials and tribulations, but I always gotta remind myself that someone out there has it a lot worse then I do. Just gotta be grateful for what I have.

Its an excellent video. This is what its like when you lose your hair from chemo. Some look into the mirror and hate themselves. A tornado or poverty destoyed your home or family. The most important to me, is love from God, directly to each of us, no matter who we are. That is a gift so we can let go of everything else. The Afters are beautiful. How many you help with this. ALOT!

I'm atheist, and I will not change. But this song meant something to me, even though I don't believe in going to church or bowing down to a deity. Even if you don't believe in God, you can still lift youself up and be who you are. It doesn't matter where you spend your Sunday, or what holidays you celebrate, or how many gods you believe in. Believing in yourself is just as important as believing in your religion.

Saw the afters Monday night with my son and two daughters. there's no way to express how moved I was. I'm so thankful to have shared such a powerful concert and worship experience with my children.

This song is for those who have excepience a great amount of hurt. I would know becasue I have been there many times to the point that I didn't want to live anymore after having my heart broken, but by the Grace of God I'm able to move forward and forgive those who hurt me and pray for them becasue they are in need of a Savior and His name is Jesus Christ and I'm pround to call Him my Love, my Lord, My Savior and my Best Friend.
