I made one of these years ago with a blunt hacksaw, some rusty files, and a sheet of aluminium I stole from my school's metal shop. I did the Nolan one, mainly cos I love the design, but also the top is a straight line, meaning you can just start the template at the edge of the sheet and that saves a bunch of work.
Funny thing, I made some of these for a coworker for $5. Used some scraped foam and tested my airbrush technique. Now I finished cutting and am about halfway through the sanding process for my All Might muscle.
It costs a little more, but the way I like to do shuriken of any sort involves sandwiching a piece of 2-3mm styrene sheet between two or more pieces of foam, then put the triangle dowels on for the edges. Makes the whole thing a bit stiffer, and a little heavier for throwing so it doesn't just flop.
You ever think of making specific batarangs? Like from the movies. It would be a good series. Also, what about a thin wooden base, or the plastic from a cutting board? It would be strong.
Kinda off topic, but I have found a fun simple thing to use those zipper borders for foam pads. If you curl them the long way into a circle, glue the ends together, then paint it, you have a simple crown. Only takes about five minutes and is a good way to use up scraps.
@@WilliamJakespeareProps you responded?!? This video is 1 year old. What grapple design were you thinking about. Your batarang seems to be based on Batman forever, so the wrist grapple from the sonar bat suit scene would be cool. Btw, you’re the reason I started a channel. Your first lightsaber video is what introduced me to RUclips
@@WilliamJakespeareProps I’ve just put on the second coat of black paint after the heat seal, instead of the foam triangles I just carved a blade edge with my rotary tool. And just a heads up my first comment about me only using black and dark gray foam was both true and a Lego Batman joke lol.

2:34 as much as I love Batman, my eyes couldn't focus on anything but the Refit nacelles and the hulls of the Reliant and Enterprise XD
all the ships need their nacelles fixed
I was gonna mention that too.

Could you make steves nail bat from stranger things

Cool but does yours actually work
yeah but there's a technique to throwing it that clearly isn't in my muscle memory yet. It's like skipping a rock across a pond.
