I listened on Spotify but I just had to come over here and say that I really feel like this podcast has helped me to understand the not only the drawbacks of content creation, but also how much self discipline is needed. I’ve noticed how many content creations sell themselves short in how hard it is to do this job and how hard it is to pretty much always be working
I miss those Among us steams, they were so funny. I put them on in the background occasionally. Thank you for doing this interview, Bdubs remains one of my favorites, he’s humble and I admire how open he is with things, an inspiration.
I just turned 40 last May and I’m finally feeling content as well, Bdubs. It’s honestly an incredible feeling, after decades of grinding so hard I’m so happy to just hang out with my family and enjoy the balance. Our culture needs more balance.
Funny Bdubs has a view of himself that he needs to work on his visual story telling. I was just telling my kids the other day in a conversation that Bdubs is one of the best filmaking minecrafters out there. The way he sets up a shot (he frames like a great cinematographer) and the way he approaches weaving an episode together, it top notch.
Last week I finally had a chance to watch part 1 of this podcast. So during my treatment, I put in my earbuds and put my laptop on the table. The girl next to me recognized Bdubs so I gave her my left earbud. This week, back for another round, same girl is here. I just took a seat next to her and handed her my left earbud. I already love Bdubs and I already enjoy this podcast - but you guys have to know, what you are doing here is incredibly special for so many people. Thanks.
After the first BDubs podcast I’ve gone back and watched seasons 5-8 (I started watching HC season 7) and it’s been so fun! When BDubs was talking about the TNT cannon on the boat it was cracking me up because I just watched that episode 😂
As a fellow Arizona Resident named "Scott" I must say you guys rock! I love that you bring a treasure trove of down to earth, realistic, and honest, glimpse into the life of being the creators. This is a great archive for me use to explain to others especially my daughter how, good, honest, family oriented, and trustworthy people can make a living doing something they love. That real work, practice, and retrospective goes into even the things we love to do. I point to this podcast and say go watch why the Hermits and the collaborators they work with (Empires, Life Series) friends are so good at what they do! You let us see behind the green curtain and are open enough to let us see the real Wizards of Oz! Thanks for this level of vulnerability. God Bless you all and your families!
Pungence was actually a Hermit, in late season one, early season two! Him and Skyzm were a great comedy duo, they were actually my introduction to Hermitcraft. The story arc where they accidentally blew up Hypno's house has always stuck with me. I think they both kinda burned out on Minecraft and dropped off before season 3. Their vibes would have fit in wonderfully in the Life series 😄
Cubfan135 would be an amazing guest. Thank you for reading this Impulse. Learning about Bdubs has made me laugh and cry and learn sososo much. Thank you for interviewing him. I didn’t know how much I really needed to know him better.
So interesting listening to these talks with RUclips creatives and hearing how they started out, to somehow falling into a career in Improv and entertainment- especially from the perspective of Impulse and Skizz leading the conversation. They're both way more thoughtful and intelligent than they give themselves credit for. And Bdubs passion for art and performance is insane, he does NOT give himself enough credit for how talented he is.
Next I would like to see is Scott Smajor. Not because I’m a massive fan of him. But I certainly have respect for his work. I don’t think I know enough about him and there is probably a few life lessons to learn from him.
i have been sick almost constantly since like 2022 and found this podcast when it started getting really bad in late 2023. it's still bad [unsure what it is, it's just chronic illness] but this podcast has helped me love and live and survive. thanks impulse and skizz 🫶🫶 absolutely adoring this, especially collabs
Man, Bdubs talking about how he wants to be better at visual story telling.. but honestly, the whole tree of whimsy bit from season 9 was one of my favorite moments in hermitcraft history.
So much to learn from you guys who have been on youtube for so many years now, I only just became a full-time youtuber and I can't wait to see how much i've learned 5, 10, 15 years from now. Not just about content creation, but also life in general now that I'm a husband and dad hahaha
I'm 32 now and seeing these 3 dads together talking about their lives (especially the part where bdubs says "if nothing changed for the rest of my life it will be perfect" 41:03) ... makes me wonder where my THAT is. My partner broke up with me on nye-eve because he was no longer on the same page as me about wanting a happy marriage and kids whereas just a week before we had been dreaming about our future house and life. I hope in 10 years I'll think of this video and be in the same place in life as bdubs. (edit: he wants to focus on himself, having the perfect body, gaming, and making tons of money at work - very 20s behavior IMO even though he's older than me - but I fully supported his wants while our futures still aligned)
I think the issue isn't comfort, rather it is complacency. It is ok to feel comfortable in something as long as you are growing over time. Complacency stifles growth.
Honestly, that whole thing about "contentment is the opposite of progress, BUT progress is not always a net good" is going to ring in my head. I've been carving out a small space of contentment after a series of upendments, and fighting against a feeling like I wasn't doing Enough to Progress because of it. But maybe it's just not the time for progress to be a good thing in my life. I know you guys might get tired of hearing it, but thanks for the new perspective. Such wisdom from three men in their late 20s.
honestly would listen to a pt. 60 of this, the great conversations and deep life insights that comes with the most stellar ability to clearly articulate things. Some things we may not be able to relate to but because of this or that reason but the storytelling ability of Imp and Skizz is truly something to look up to and having it bounce off of the juggernaut of Bdubs and fully envelop the listener is truly something to behold. from one human to another, great work fellas.. all 3 of you not only this podcast but on your content careers (feeling froggy Skizz? jump buddy ;) )
I absolutely fell in love with this episode. I really fell in love with BDubs even more than I already was, His vulnerability with the stories about his wife and daughter broke my heart for him. It's incredible that he was able to find the joy in life to continue with Minecraft. The strength of his mind and heart is admirable and I feel like he allowed us a glimpse into the difficulties of being a creator. Thank you Bdubs for opening up and giving us some good advice for people like me that are wanting to become creators ourselves. Hermitcraft was my first introduction to Minecraft and Scar and Bdubs were my instant favorites, quickly adding Grian, Impulse and Skizz to my subscriptions. I thank all of you for carrying me through my own health issues and getting me to try playing Mincraft a couple years ago. Through all of you, I forget my pain and issues for a while. Thank you all, and keep up the amazing work. 🥰
'Skizz, you're very fatherly, so maybe you can give me advise' with following conversation at 43:43 Skizz is an ultimate dad to all the hermits lol also Impulse's face at 43:43 had me laughing!
I can see you’re slowly making your way through the hermitcraft peeps and I’ve loved them so far but I’m really hoping you’ll bring VintageBeef on. he’s seriously such an underrated hermit I feel and I enjoy him so much. He’s such a breath of fresh air to watch.
bdubs is a literal trailblazer for minecraft building as well as minecraft youtube. Thanks so much for giving him a platform to speak about his artistry, he is far too humble to speak about these things himself, but he really is a legend. Your hard work is appreciated Imp & Skizz!
I truly agree with Skizz’s comment: The meaning of life is to be happy. I realised this in my teens and it has shaped my whole life, who I am and how I view the world around me. I make decisions with that always in mind, but happiness can only be felt when there are days of non-happiness, to cry and be angry are precious too and make you feel alive, but the point is to not stay there. Loved these Bdubs podcast episodes, thank you so much!
I'm so happy to see lowresbones mentioned. He's so good, I love the style. So chill and cinematic. I love that he jump cuts to a slow pan with no commentary so often. It really gives you some time to catch up mentally and breathe.
I love bdubbs so much that I was willing to wait until today to listen to both parts. Thanks for doing these two part-ers it great spending more time with the guests. You guys are doing great keep up the great work.
Bdubs' building in minecraft is so unique, it inspires me even though im not much of a builder. His videos make me think different. When a Bdubs video pops up, thats what im doing. They are always enjoyable. Hes like a really good friend that you know you will always have a good time with.
Bdubs has been such a place of comfort and security throughout the years. Truly my absolute favorite RUclipsr. So much so that I watch 90% of all content at 2x speed just to over consume, but ole bdubs I devote all time to just watch at normal speed and just take that episode time to just be there. Thank you for all the years Bdubs.
One thing that I have definitely learned from this podcast that I guess I never thought of is how intelligent and thoughtful Skizz is. He is so eloquent and introspective on his every experience and it makes me love this podcast and his content so much more
Such a great conversation! I've been watching Bdubs for 11 years now and his consistency in my life has been just incredible. I'll forever be grateful to have spent my 20's and now 30's enjoying his content. Thanks Imp and Skizz for bringing him on!
I honestly think hermitcraft has one of the loveliest communities on top of all of the people making the content. It is hermitcraft that is helping me get through the hardest year (and aftermath) of my, albeit verh short, life. I was watching part 1 last night and I realized that it feels like home in this community. Hermitcraft might honestly be one of the best things that has happened to me, so thanks ❤
I already learn the absolute most about making videos from watching Bdubs. This insight into his actual background thoughts was so invaluable to me, because I think our brains work similarly. A lot of the things Bdubs says work for himself, work for me too. Thanks for this, all three of you!
Glad someone finally asked Bdubs why he looks go good 😅 But such a fun interview with so much depth and vulnerability. So much respect for each of these men.
Love all of your podcasts, but have to say this one with BDubs was incredible. It really showed his strength through vulnerability, and even though I knew a lot about him ( watched a lot of his content/vlogs) the dialogue between the three of you was so deep and rich. Well done gents!
unrelated but i’ve been listening to your guys’ podcasts since 9am this morning (it’s ~11pm now). thank you for making my day of cleaning SO much better!
I love the commercials that Bdubs does. His channel is one of the few things that make me look forward to the commercials. I would love to know more about those from him.
One thing I love about Bdubs content and comedy is how spontaneous he is. Every clip of his video has some portion where he has nothing written down or scripted and it’s all just in the moment which results in clips like the zombie item one.
It’s almost impossible to believe that a creator playing a stupid frog game, that I fell in love with, is the brother of this other amazing creator. It’s just such a weird and wonderful experience to learn how many things you love, connect with one another.
Same-age-ranger here: No WONDER I crack up with Bdubs and Tango so often….i grew up with Looney Toons also and that humor gets me every time, and of course Imp and Skizz as well but for more on the maturity scale reasons. I’m so grateful for folks I can relate to loving this game with.
This episode feels like reliving wonderful past memories! I joined the fandom around the time BDubs fell from the sky so to see you guys go through the memories from your perspectives as creators is so cool to see :)
Thank you all for your content. It’s been really good for me, cause your positivity, warmth, and brilliance are all so wonderful. All three of you are exceptional humans.
It's so nice to see how supportive of other Hermits and creators these guys are and how they talk so highly of one another. Another great episode guys!
The B Team was the pinnacle of entertainment for me as a kid. The chemistry between Genrik and Bdubs was next to none. You naturally drift to the hermit or mindcrack member in that sense that matches your personality and I took there energy and applied it to life. Inspiring fellas
I hate listening to/watching podcasts but this one is different. Idk what it is about it but I love it! I’ve just started watching this videos and watched a couple past episodes and it’s just so good. I can’t put into words why but it is!
These were my favorite two episodes of the podcast! Thank you so much for getting Bdubs on and doing one of THE best interviews I’ve ever seen. Not just on your podcast but in general.
The great thing about contentment the way that Bdubs and Skizz explain it is that it provides rhetorical person a place to land when progress doesn’t happen when you would like it to. It makes it more OK to fail and try again because you are ok with where you are right now. 44:20
I see skizz soaking in the conversation probably thinking “ these guys are great at what they do I wish I could do that “ I’m here to say you can skizzel man YOU CAN !!!
since watching this I have watched among us streams from imp and tango just to hear again how similar bdubs and pungence voices are. they don't sound similar in irl videos but in among us they're identical. Grian even called them "the bdubs'". bdubs' voice just brings me so much joy and happiness in the way he talks and getting to hear two of them talk to each other is just next level dopamine. it gets me so happy. In one of the streams pungence started talking and mentioned bdubs and everyone got confused because they thought bdubs was talking but pungence just laughed it off and continued and everyone was more confused IT WAS SO FUNNY.
at 3:00: Well, you called in Grian. Obviously the entire Hermitcraft landscape had to change :D Suddenly there wasnt only Mumbo as a spoon and Iskall as an absolutely chaotic player, but also a Grian to act as catalyst and fuel ALL of the madness on the server :D
I do deserve the little bit of the extra info! On a more related note, I've been binging the podcast series while I'm working, and I've been drawn to the stories that Imp, Skizz and the guests (so far I've only watched Martyn, Bdubs and Scar's episodes) told that it's been enlightening at times, bittersweet and inspiring. I love that Bdubs is so content in his position in life, and that's where I aim to be, always. Just that right now I'll have to work hard so my kitties will be able to eat well, but someday, hopefully! That goes to you too, Impulse. I hope you'll find the relative comfort eventually, and I'm really proud of you and Skizz. Also also, I'm still holding on to the hope that Skizz will be in Hermitcraft. :") One can dream.
I just love Bdubs so much. He is so talented and funny, his wit is so quick and he has such an emotive voice. He is also really sweet and humble. What not to love right. The bit where he has his brainfart makes me laugh so hard each time, how he then turns the perspective to himself together with the silence. Such a comedic bit that gets me every time 😂
I loved the bdubs episode where he did the two versions of his personality/reaction after scar killed the horse and he was having issues with the modpack causing black sections being rendered
Unrelated, but: it’s been so so lovely to watch Skizz get so accepted and beloved by all the Hermits and Empires folks, so naturally. Love to see it!

Petition for Grian to be the next guest on the podcast
This 10 billion percent. I wonder if he'd act like he's late like he does with Jimmy's streams. Like I'll be late cause I'm trimming the hedges with scissors 😂
Yeah it kinda suprising that it hasnt happened if you think about it. Theyve done so many gigs streams but no podcast yet. And Grian gets mentioned a lot sonce you know the life seties is mentioned a lot.
And maybe docm77 or etho they are at the origin of all lot of thing.
YESS, PLS
Maybe Jimmy and Joel would be great too
I listened on Spotify but I just had to come over here and say that I really feel like this podcast has helped me to understand the not only the drawbacks of content creation, but also how much self discipline is needed. I’ve noticed how many content creations sell themselves short in how hard it is to do this job and how hard it is to pretty much always be working
Boomers Demolition sweater was the first merch I bought, I still wear it as pajamas ❤
I actually did learn that mobs are more likely to pick things up if you're around an area longer from that B-Dubs flub. Hilarious and informative!
Haha same. I was dying laughing and was like I didn’t know that.
The most epic blooper ever. I still laugh to tears from it... 😂😂🤣🤣
Local difficulty is such an underknown mechanic as it only affects these subtle things.
I LOVE when BDubs gets tongue tied. That is just part of his personae that is so great. He is so relatable. Love you BDubs!!
Team BEST was my first real introduction to Skizz and I have loved him ever since!
Sorry about your covid vaccine side effects ❤
@@CubeInspector
i'm not vaccinated
Hope you start feeling better.
Man, Bdubs talking about how he wants to be better at visual story telling.. but honestly, the whole tree of whimsy bit from season 9 was one of my favorite moments in hermitcraft history.
i feel like he's achieving that goal with his intros this season :)
Can y’all interview cleo, grian or pearl next? Especially Cleo I really don’t know much about her other than she’s really funny
Clebert and her razor sharp wit may be too much for the imp and skizz podcast....lol
Cleo would be amazing
I would love to hear them chat with Cleo, she’s my fave.
Yes I'd love to hear Cleo's story if they're willing to share!
So much to learn from you guys who have been on youtube for so many years now, I only just became a full-time youtuber and I can't wait to see how much i've learned 5, 10, 15 years from now. Not just about content creation, but also life in general now that I'm a husband and dad hahaha
"Your body stays the same weight but turns a different shape!" YEP! Been going through that myself, almost 30
I love that both setups work so that even on tv. He faces you speaking
I think the issue isn't comfort, rather it is complacency. It is ok to feel comfortable in something as long as you are growing over time. Complacency stifles growth.
Can’t begin to explain how much Bdubs has changed my life. Thank you Imp and Skizz❤
Thanks for this comment ❤
honestly would listen to a pt.
i love the camera and screen setup! it really makes it feel like bdubs is there with you :D
'Skizz, you're very fatherly, so maybe you can give me advise' with following conversation at 43:43
Skizz is an ultimate dad to all the hermits lol
also Impulse's face at 43:43 had me laughing!
I can see you’re slowly making your way through the hermitcraft peeps and I’ve loved them so far but I’m really hoping you’ll bring VintageBeef on. he’s seriously such an underrated hermit I feel and I enjoy him so much. He’s such a breath of fresh air to watch.
Didn't expect to start sobbing while watching this because I realized how deeply unhappy I am, but so it goes.
bdubs is a literal trailblazer for minecraft building as well as minecraft youtube. Thanks so much for giving him a platform to speak about his artistry, he is far too humble to speak about these things himself, but he really is a legend. Your hard work is appreciated Imp & Skizz!
Just what I need for a late friday relaxation. Getting to hear you guys talk and explore what you love to do is always a great time.
Part 2 has a lot to live up to....part 1 was a rollercoaster of emotion....lol....looking forward to this....
Bdubs' building in minecraft is so unique, it inspires me even though im not much of a builder. His videos make me think different.
When a Bdubs video pops up, thats what im doing. They are always enjoyable. Hes like a really good friend that you know you will always have a good time with.
Currently watching this episode in my Boomer merch. I love wearing out seeing people do a double take.
This just made my love for bdubs and this podcast grow even more! Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to listen to all of y’all!!
Sometimes i forget that skizz isn’t a hermit
For now ;)
I am glad this didn't age well
4 weeks later
Sometimes it's good to be wrong.
So great to absorb advice from 3 seasoned men with different abilities and experiences. I enjoy getting to know you all each week.
It really is insane how much Bdubs and his brother sound alike. I just listened to a clip from him and I can hardly tell the difference 😂
"Not me, just the library in my head" That is you dude. The things in your head make you you.
I love BDubs shouting out LowResBones! I just got into his barebones playthrough and its so good
Ik its so cinematic and inspiring, AND HIS BUILDS ARE AABSOLUTELY AMAZING
I already learn the absolute most about making videos from watching Bdubs. This insight into his actual background thoughts was so invaluable to me, because I think our brains work similarly. A lot of the things Bdubs says work for himself, work for me too. Thanks for this, all three of you!
Glad someone finally asked Bdubs why he looks go good 😅
But such a fun interview with so much depth and vulnerability. So much respect for each of these men.
Omg i wanted to catch the new episode and checked out the channel just in time for the drop!
Love all of your podcasts, but have to say this one with BDubs was incredible. It really showed his strength through vulnerability, and even though I knew a lot about him ( watched a lot of his content/vlogs) the dialogue between the three of you was so deep and rich. Well done gents!
So happy to listen to this part 2. 🥰 Bdubs is now my fave hermit. I love hearing the back stories, and I relate so much to his. 🥰
Yes! It's out! Have been waiting with baited breath for part 2 of this :) BDubs is so entertaining to listen to!
unrelated but i’ve been listening to your guys’ podcasts since 9am this morning (it’s ~11pm now). thank you for making my day of cleaning SO much better!
You know, it's the craziest thing. I found Bdub's sister's channel and she sounds exactly like him too!
What's the channel? Can't find it anywhere
I hate listening to/watching podcasts but this one is different. Idk what it is about it but I love it! I’ve just started watching this videos and watched a couple past episodes and it’s just so good. I can’t put into words why but it is!
love to have etho and grian on as guests at some point!!! bdubs on the show was an amazing way to kick off the new year :D
I could listen to BDubs for hours, he's so interesting and fascinating. His voice is so impeccable. Thanks for sharing this podcast with us :)
I waited all week for this!!! Let's goo!
These podcasts have helped me a lot these past few weeks love you all
I do deserve the little bit of the extra info!
I’d love to see Jimmy on the podcast!
