This is the way to play Liszt. Like the great Leslie Howard once said, if you play Liszt just to show off your technique, you are playing him the wrong way. This piece is one of the hardest that Liszt wrote - it was his big warhorse during his performing days. It is here performed with a blazing technique, but always at the service of the music.
