tina turner is a member of my private pantheon. she has been through so much in her life. i had the pleasure of seeing her during the private dancer tour in 1985. she was amazing. she never stopped. more than once over the years her dancers said they had trouble keeping up with her. and they were at least half her age. "acid queen", "what's love got to do with it", "private dancer", & "let's stay together", "one of the living", "we don't need another hero", "proud mary live 1993", "missing you", "golden eye", "when the heartache is over" are just a few videos i could recommend. she has also acted. she played the acid queen in "tommy" and auntie entity in "mad max beyond tunderdome"

When this came out, she had just made the cover of People magazine or something for being voted the Best Legs. As a woman over 50, it was an amazing honor and her legs were on stage in this one. lol

I've loved Tina Turner since I heard her sing "PROUD MARY" with Ike way ,way back in the early70's.I seen her perform with Cher on her variety show in the late 70's. "PRIVATE DANCER" album blew me away.I got to see her in concert in 2008. What an energetic show she had put on. A soulful voice. Great dancer

I grew up with these people. It just strikes me at how old I am that there are actually people in the world who have never heard of Tina Turner before. My God I'm so old. When I see videos title things like first-time reaction to and then you insert iconic names like Tina Turner or Celine Dion or even Whitney Houston I am so flabbergasted that these people have never heard of these people. To me it makes no sense that there are people who don't know these iconic names. I'm so old.

Tina Turner is always one of my favorites! I love her and respect her so much as a person. You should check out her story, such a amazing strong woman who stood up for herself and made it all on her own. And she also looks still absolutely amazing and she is in her 70’s! ❤

Her music is excellent but what she's really known for is sporadically dancing across the stage during her performances. Her voice is excellent but it's not why we love her. The extreme energy that she just exudes when she's on stage is amazing. She's infectious in all the right ways.
