Tbf 8% isn't a raise if you look at inflation. I think he has earned a paycut for sure, but keeping at the current salary is a pay cut.

It's so ironic, because I'm guessing there are a lot of people like me watching this live for the first time because they wanted to see Rico freak out. So in most negotiations, cursing out your bosses would probably be a poor tactic, but I think it might work here
