THE MARMALADE
At the end of 1969, as a single, the group released a song called Reflections of My Life in the United Kingdom. The album arrived in the United States in the early 1970s.
It was an absolute success, not only in the United Kingdom and the United States, but throughout the world.
There wasn't a radio station that didn't play it, there wasn't a dance ensemble that didn't perform Reflections of My Life.
It was a sweet ballad played by a cheesy group for its time (bands contemporary to Marmalade were way ahead), but the commercial success was huge.
The Marmalade didn't work out. Dean Ford gave in to alcoholism, drove luxury cars for major pop stars and, finally, died at the age of 72 when the lights went out in 2018.
