  • A broken clock is still correct twice a day and just like that clock I have been sitting on our last honeymoon vlog for sooo long that it became relevant again - because YOU PEEPS if you're into the whole cozy autumn aesthetic, you must keep watching! This is the Hallmark produced, Gilmore Girls inspired, pinterest board worthy romantic vlog from your favourite Scotland based couple! .)
During our five nights in Vermont we managed to visit Stowe, Burlington, Lake Champlain, Ludlow and much more, and we'd like you to tag along! Plus, if you're looking for tips on what to see, where to visit and where to eat, this video might give you some inspiration! Leaf peeping time starts NOW!
For reference, this was the second half of October, just around 18th/22nd or so - most people were telling us the fall foliage was already past its peak, but if this is "past peak fall foliage" then I think I wouldn't be able to withstand the intensity of the peak autumn colours!
    Peeps? More like leaf peeps!

I live just outside Boston and have been to Stowe many times. Vermont is one of my favorite states. The nice thing about living in New England is that the New England states are just a few hours away. Now I’m very excited because in nine days I leave for Scotland, starting in Edinburgh. I’ve been watching your videos for helpful tips and insights. Enjoy the rest of your time here!

Been watching your Channel for a couple of years. Welcome to New England and ESPECIALLY in the Fall.....and on your honeymoon? Excellent Choice!
However......Driving through Smugglers Notch at night is not a single track road! However there are Moose... a Larger version of Deer in the Highlands as if that was possible! It IS...AND your driving on the Proper Side Of The Road!🤣Oh the Horror!
Born and Bred New England....New Hampshire/Massachusetts's border. VT Route 100 is Still my favorite Drive and I've been doing that for well over 50 years. Waitsfield, Rochester, Ludlow.....My "adopted hood". Wonderful that you were here when you were. Fall In New England? Yeah.
The Weston Country Store....Perfect. Central Vermont??? Well at this point you know!

I felt that emotion my last night in the UK back in June. It was my first trip over there and I visited London, Edinburgh, York, Nottingham, and Derby. I was definitely feeling the emotions and I can't wait to get back to Edinburgh and London. Primarily Edinburgh. I live in Pennsylvania and still haven't been to Vermont or New Hampshire yet. I've been to Boston many times, though. That Focal Banger beer in the fridge is bloody amazing! I wish it was available in PA!

You did a wonderful job capturing the beauty of my state!
It's one of my goals for the next, well, ever, to see the land I take for granted as though I were looking through the eyes of others, and your video really helps with that.
So many places I know and love, but also so many places I have yet to fully experience.
Very glad you took Route 100 south. It's a brilliant road to drive, from end to end or anywhere along the way.
Anybody interested in it might also considering zig-zagging a bit along the mountain passes (the gap roads) that run between Routes 100 and 7. Like, take Route 125 from east to west, then cut south on Route 7 for a while, maybe dip down Route 53 along Lake Dunmore and through Satan's Kingdom (rather more pleasant than it sounds), visit the picturesque Town of Brandon (perhaps lunch at Cafe Provence, or a beer tasting at Foley Brothers Brewing), then cut back west to east on Route 73 and rejoin Route 100.
Just make sure you check the current state of all those picturesque little towns! Some of them -- Ludlow and Weston particularly -- were incredibly damaged by historic summer flooding this year.

Hard not to like Vermont in the fall, other than the crowds, of course. You’re correct - Stowe (rhymes with “go”) is the most Hallmark-like town you’re going to find, in the fall or at Christmas.

In that case you probably don't need many recommendations as I imagine the city will just lead you towards lot of interesting spots naturally! I'd say without the need to stay in for a long time, both the National Museum and the National Portrait gallery have absolutely stunning main hall interiors, so you could pop in and out if you're around without spending too much time! Also Greyfriar's Kirkyard might be the autumniest place in the historical centre so I wouldn't miss out on having a little look around there .)
