I love his face when he looked up to the sky
He's like " suck it dad"
The best part about this scene is Maze, the way you can see it is killing her, the souless demon, to maim her Master in the knowledge that she will never go home again. She, who expresses no emotions but desire and hatred and the most physical of loves, is sobbing.

This scene is amazingly well done. Tom Ellis is excellent! The emotion in Maze’s face as she realizes her only way home is gone but she is only a soulless demon obeying to her master. His face while she’s cutting them off shows so much emotional as well, not only does it hurt him terribly he is smiling with such vengeance towards his father and knows this is for him and looking up to him. It’s amazing.
I never realised that Maze was crying because she was destroying her only way home... I guess I always thought she wanted to go ti earth (cause hell seems like pretty annoying place to live) and I assumed she was crying because, well.. She just cut off her friends wings... In other words: interesting.

@@FALL3N1 I guess it could be a shock thing? I don't know if angels experience that like humans, but people can get stabbed and not feel anything from all the adrenaline.

The most frightening part of the video was when he smiled looking up while his wings were cut off.
Amazing episode! I liked the interaction between Armanadiel and Lucifer. Chloe forgot her first meeting with Armanadiel because he was completely different and they spoke just for a few minutes.
This should’ve been the pilot episode from the beginning
Agreed. I think this episode was placed poorly in season 3. Broke the flow of the Cain storyline

I have two minor issues with this scene:
1. Lucifer wasn't shirtless. Considering the act being committed it would have made more sense.
Obviously, his wings somehow pass through his clothing therefore stripping isn't needed to unfurl them but, not stripping his upper half should have meant that Maze would have had to cut up his suit which is more work for her and a big no-no for Lucifer.
2. Maze's crying loses some of its power because her face is shot close enough to tell there aren't real tears.
Love Lucifer flipping the bird to God with his eyes, while trying to keep from reacting to the physical pain. That was fantastic facial work by Tom.
For number 2, I can excuse that one because she is a literal demon. At this point in time, she’s never experienced any emotions other than anger, hatred, pain, and just. Later on in the show as she experiences more emotions and gains relationships, she does TRULY start to cry. It would be weird to have a demon duffle this burst out into tears if they have never felt that way before. So while I think she is...something, it’s not quite deep enough to fall it sad.
If my wings could pop out of my clothes and back in again, I wouldn't bother taking them off either..

Angels self actualize, it's all the same set of wings, just changing appearance. If he feels evil, his wings will look like devil wings and he has his devil face. When he feels "good" his wings will be his normal white wings. He regrew his wings himself when he started being less angry about his life and stopped seeing himself as the "Evil" devil.

RG200 Android only if he feels like he deserves it. They grew back because he says he felt like a monster. BUT because in the end of season 2 he did something that made him feel like he wasn’t a monster. So he unknowingly (we know he’s too stubborn to admit) feels like he doesn’t deserve the devil face and wings.
@@prdude1768 Actually the wings grow back and the devil face disappears when he feels better about himself, when he feels like a monster he has no wings but he has the devil face.
funny how the filler episodes totally ruin the pacing of S3 on first watch but end up being some of the best ones because of how shite the main storyline is lmao
I see many people complaining about S3. I don't see the big issue here. Some other shows have done way worse
@@luisalonso959 my main problem with it is that they just straight up made all the characters unlikeable. maze, linda, & amenadiel's fight made 0 sense to me (your best friend's dating your ex? who cares? it's not even like they were on bad terms), pierce wore way too many hats (lieutenant, crime boss, cain - first suicidal, then lovestruck, then homicidal), also i found lucifer (the character) kind of annoying in S3 which i don't think is a quality you want in the lead character.
apparently fox ordered a bunch of extra episodes which i think made the season way too long (the only good TV shows i've seen with 26 episode-long seasons have episodes that are 22 minutes, not 44) so I don't think there was a gas leak in the writers' room or anything, it's just not my favorite ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@etherealsalad2698 My main prob (along with the points you raised) with it is that they had all those episodes and STILL there were huge plot holes:- Why was Lucifer such a sh*t to Chloe in the 'Chloe does Lucifer' episode? - Why did the 'bogus' sinnerman want Lucifer to kill him? - Why did they believe he was working alone, when the Sinnerman was meant to be a crime boss? - What did Pierce have planned for Chloe, if Lucifer HADN'T escaped from the 'tv room' the bogus sinnerman locked him in? (Pierce had seen bogus sinnerman go into the building that he and Chloe were staking out and ignored him, even though he knew who he was) - Who phoned Chloe to tell her that Charlotte had been shot? - These questions and many more were never answered, it's like watching an entire season of mostly filler episodes. What would it have been like if Netflix had done season 3, with that many eps. I wonder?
