Great video. Just a note on the File Layer. In Krita 5, you can use add a Transform Mask to the File Layer and it will allow you to move, scale, rotate, etc. the File Layer. Transform Masks can also be applied to any normal layer. It's basically the same as creating a Smart Object in Photoshop.
I do not do photo manupulation but mostly artworks. Lasso is just easier if you want to remove/add parts more quicker and efficient that a brush will take a bit longer to do (larger areas for example). The brush is just mostly detailng, adding, or removing parts that a lasso, of course, can not do. Especially if you are trying to do certain brush strokes that can blend or merge well instead of the solid look lasso does. Hope this helps.

whats the benfit of using the brush method vs lasso method. I always see the photoshop tutorials use the lasso but the brush seems easir
